No, you have one account and when you log in, there's an option to open another one.
Does that mean you have to spend £1500 a month on your debit card to qualify fo the £5?

I'm surprised at being accepted because I did answer all the questions honestly. Particularly that asking if it will be my main account - no.

Like many other banks, Halifax allow you to have more than one current account in your name. Though they may not allow more than one if you have a Basic account with them.DeletedUser said:How do you have 3 accounts and the same bank? Are they all in different names?
There will be reasons, probably to do with your credit files or your banking history with Halifax, why they won't allow that upgrade. Have you asked them? Have you tried applying for a Reward account from scratch? If yes, what happened?DeletedUser said:Plus, they won't allow me to upgrade my 'Basic' current account to a 'Reward' account and then switch into that. Ridiculous.
These conditions are not related to the switch offer. They are entirely optional, too, and only relate to the monthly rewards which you can take or not take. You should, however, pay in £1,500 a month in order to avoid the monthly charge. You are also free to close, or switch, the Reward account once you have been paid the switch bonus by Halifax - which generally happens before the switch to Halifax has even been completed.DeletedUser said:'By 'strings' i mean having to spend £500 on my debit card, OR have £5000 in my account permanently.1 -
No it doesn't mean that. Please read the T&Cs for the Reward account.DeletedUser said:Alex9384 said:DeletedUser said:How do you have 3 accounts and the same bank? Are they all in different names?

HiI'm an existing customer with one Halifax reward account. I was thinking of opening a new ultimate reward account and switching. Then plan to downgrade the account once I've got the bonus. I'm assuming this Is an option?Cheers0

I was thinking of this but I thought you could only have one type of reward account? I would rather do this.Aidanmc said:sheffieldeagle said:HiI'm an existing customer with one Halifax reward account. I was thinking of opening a new ultimate reward account and switching.
