Hi Turtles,
Missed a couple of days but back now.
Got my first NSD yesterday, hurray! So 1/15 NSD so far.
Nice walk along greenway today along the river do 14.5K which is a big improvement. So nice as it was very quiet everywhere. Had a couple of drinks in the pub then walked back.
Got a couple of YS items from the SM and a few items for meals today and tomorrow.
There was a SM charity promotion for the food bank so donated some corned beef and tinned tuna.
Decluttering has ground to a standstill. Pathetically this week only turfed out a small leprechaun ornament for the charity shop. Hope this isn't bad luck! 🙄
My local adult education centre has emailed me their Spring 2022 brochure with some very interesting classes in it. Will read through later to see what is on offer and try to get booked in.
Got a bag of compost from the garden centre to plant up my pots with pansies. (Got 11 pansy plants from Sainsbugs for 20p which was a bargain and saved them being thrown away).
Gratitudes: lovely walk with my OH, getting the compost and a lovely lamb and mint pie for dinner.

Evening turtles. Spend day today as shopping being delivered shortly. One of the dogs I walk regularly was also PTS today so have bought the owner a card, feel a bit down about it. Also had to buy a new swimming costume as mine has broken.
Have seen my payslip for the end of the month and am able to save about £200 more than I thought which is good (never quite know exactly what my zero hours job owes me each month, need to get on top of that).
Grateful for a nice walk this morning, being able to say goodbye to my friend's dog and making myself go for a swim even though I wasn't feeling it beforehand.9 -
Hugs @lcc86 & anyone else that needs one.
Thanks Deni, DS2 is doing a bit better. DS3 came home from school yesterday & couldn't move his arms, so kept him off school today. Think he's lifted weights at the weekend that were too heavy for him!
Work went well, then a rush to get to our village to take over from hubby manning my stall. He'd sold a couple of items, & I sold quite a few more, so I was very happy 😃 pleased to finally take my shoes off after 11hours! Quite tired now, but it's nearly the weekend
Grateful for selling lots, hubby cooking my tea for when I got home, relaxing on the setteeUse it up, wear it out

Made a lovely brisket dinner (most bits cooked yesterday so just getting it hot and assembling - did make proper gravy with the juices). Watched an old film this afternoon (mum's choice). Lots of trips to the bins. Didn't escape unscathed yesterday (small cut and a line that looks as though it might split) so left the onion chopping for another day. Washed the celery, got out some frozen berries, added dressing to the coleslaw (couldn't find my prawns, so think the person who doesn't like them has put them in fish pie).
Mum fell asleep in the chair and after another trip to thee bins (doing things in the advert breaks) I found that she had finally got back in bed and had a little nap. Made tea, did all the washing up, lots of little jobs done (all helps make some space). Another NSD - tried to do the order from the other evening and it wouldn't let the transaction go through, so gave up, it's obviously not meant to be.
Grateful for gorgeous lunch and a thrown together tea (and remains of the veg cooked with the brisket for supper), the film (oldie but goodie) slowly gathering paper and rubbish scraps (kitchen bin went out earlier). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Well turns out I have covid, so no wonder I was too tired to swim on Tuesday. Very annoying as am loosing 2-4 days of work, and my son is back isolating in his room, poor young man. I feel I need to send him some activities, but not sure what.
I am managing to be out of bed today for the first time in 3 days and symptoms are fairly light so far. Lovely neighbour noticed I was home and offered to go shopping, amazing peops.
Grateful for neighbours, for a bed to sleep in and a magic fridge that hasn't quite run out of food yet.
And grateful for a good amount of NSD days, will tally up later.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hoping you have a quick recovery @ditty1234
Today was a much needed NSD, I've noticed that boredom is just making me want to browse and spend all the time so I really need to reign things in. Luckily next week is a bit busier (finally!) so that should keep me off my phone and concentrating a bit more.9 -
Evening
Glad that it is Friday and payday, was ready for both. Woke at 6am so got up, put out the bins & recycling, did another PA survey and logged onto work by 7.15am. Put a load of paperwork in the recycling that was on the bathroom floor for some reason. Had a productive day (at last!) and logged off at 4. Walked to the PO to post sprouts day card to brother who lives abroad. Withdrew cash for hair cut next month as have to pay cash. Had nice text chat with former colleague. Bought pizza and wine to celebrate getting to the end of a long week
ditty - hope you soon feel better
Gratitudes - neighbour mowing the lawn; helpful colleague at PT job #2; special offers on fave wine and pizza

A good day but very tiring. Put a load of washing on (mostly bedding) after mum took hers out. Brought in yesterday's washing and folded up the last of the plastic covers. Was going to ask mum if she wanted me to put her washing out but she was already putting things on radiators. Did a garden tidy up so there was nothing in the window cleaner's way. Did more in my room but doesn't look any different yet. Renewed two library books online.
It was nearly 2 pm before I escaped to my house. Started with a bag for junk mail (plus a few items of genuine post for me), a bag for cans and bottles (mostly collected by DS3 and Beloved this morning) and a bin bag (nearly full but rounded up all the nearby bits and kept squashing it down. Took those out to the bins, separating the cans for squashing first. repeated with some variations - used a cup for stray items of cutlery (DS3 did take it when he went to set the dishwasher off but left the bag of crockery), things to go in the wash (already washed but have been hanging around for awhile), several boxes, toilet roll middles, large boxes that took 2 trips to the bin, cut back ivy and filled the green bin to the brim.
I'm calling it 35 items (had details up until 25 but did some things upstairs and it was a while before I got back to my notebook). Not everything has left the house. nearly tripped in the dark when I was on the 3rd or 4th bin bag, so some things are bagged but still inside, a couple of things will be going to the cs but need to be washed first. Ds3 got quite enthusiastic about throwing things into bin bags at one point. I did a bit in the kitchen but when I switched on the lights only 3 out of 12 were working and 2 of those weren't very enthusiastic. I asked how many spares were in the cupboard so I could buy replacements. He said he wasn't replacing them until I changed the 'stupid light fittings'. It was bad enough going up the ladder to do them (he can change most bulbs without leaving the ground) but fiddling with three screws and a glass piece that drops out was too much.
Ate takeaway Indian tea (I was going to go to little arseda to buy a clean plate or bowl but my legs didn't feel up to it, so I put a fairly clean pizza box inside a bag for life a tray and ate out of the containers), DS3 had set the dishwasher off but had neglected to put a plate in for me. He was arguing about taking stuff out again - it's his job but Beloved hadn't loaded it, he had. I would have refilled it, if he had emptied it but I hadn't any spare energy. Hoping to go back tomorrow but will wait to see how much of me aches and how much is still capable of movement. Ate in my room, read my book whilst waiting for the lights switch on and the fireworks (singers were worse than ever and they had a 'kids entertainer' who mainly made daft noises and sang extremely badly). I had opened the window but shut it when they played Macarena.
The fireworks were worth waiting for, very pretty (never watch fireworks standing next to a science teacher - they tell you which chemicals make the different colours and wonder if they can talk their Headteacher into letting them use it for a lesson). Brought my stuff downstairs, packed up (have takeaway for tomorrow) and walked round to the taxi office as I wasn't sure if my street was still blocked (car park and the street between the library and church have been blocked off all day but my street gets closed during the 'performance'.
Decluttering is a bit complicated and probably extremely boring, so feel free to skip this bit. Already completed my 2021 for the year. Currently on 23/ 60 items for this months challenge (took the grid to my house - delivered here as part of a larger order). My reverse advent calendar (mainly for the food bank) I have identified 24 cans of chopped tomatoes (bargain price and overordered), 8 cans of tuna (must have been a substitution and we have enough of the regular ones) and 5 cans of tomato soup (mum is not eating bread and she likes lots of bread with tomato soup).
I have decided to try for 2021 at my house too (not telling DS3 and Beloved about this yet). I need something to keep me going and it needs a lot of sorting out (black mould in the corners of my room and the hole in the kitchen ceiling, new kitchen sometime, or a serious upgrade). There are a few easy wins - I noticed Beloved had a large clear sack already filled with cans and bottles. could probably spend a whole week just clearing rubbish and recycling.
Grateful for delicious food (not had Indian takeaway since DS1, his wife and my grandpuppy came to visit - think that was about Easter), lovely fireworks, getting things done (without too much bending and no going dizzy),My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Hi guys
Today was an NSD but as I’ve lost count I’ll just say any is a bonus.
I ordered a voucher from my swag bucks surveys but haven’t work out how to claim it yet. There seems to be quite a few surveys at the moment so I’m just doing a couple here and there.
Nothing to go to the CS again.
Work is a pain as we’ve no manager at the moment and the temporary manager won’t make decisions unless forced into it. Part of me wants to leave but the other part likes the money and knows at my age I may struggle to get another one.
Today I’m grateful for a nice sleep in, OH buying me some ice cream and it not being cold still.

Feeling tired today, after work & the fayre yesterday. Hubby up early as had to be at the hospital by 8am to have the tubes taken out of his chest. He then went to have his dialysis for 4 hours after. Pleased it all went ok. A good day at work, our school raised quite a bit for Children in Need ☺️ Went shopping with mum & took a chippy tea home, so hubby didn't have to think about cooking. Watched TV & did some knitting. Happy weekend! Get well soon to those feeling under the weather.
Grateful for hubby getting on ok, doing well with our fundraising, a good chat with mum - we inspire each other, compare frugal tips, etcUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
