Hello allDid the weekly shop today, took the dog for a groom and paid the milk bill, so definitely not a NSD!Added a few tins for the food bank to my shopping trolley, as our Lidls has a collection point for the local one. I do this most weeks if I remember!NSDs still at 4 / 15, and decluttering 22 / 60Made an aubergine curry for dinner, not made that before.2 dog walks, not very long ones as the dog didn't want to go far, so not many steps today. I am feeling a bit can't be bothered for various reasons. Must try and motivate myself, but it is hard when it is so cold outside.Grateful for my warm stove with kettles on for 'free' hot water6

Evening turtles . NSD today. Had some dreadful un-needed virtual meetings this morning that zapped what little enthusiasm I had. The day did pick up a bit but still not feeling it. Am very close to handing my notice in but I KNOW that's not a good idea.
Had to collect a prescription so had a bit of a walk to and from the pharmacy. Also had a little walk at lunchtime and did yoga this morning. Was meant to go swimming but the cold, dark mornings are really putting me off swimming at the moment! Need to get my mojo back!

I didn't sleep last night. Put a food order in at 3am, to be delivered Sunday afternoon. Also checked out the Frost Fair. Lights switch on is this Friday and there will be fireworks, so planning to spend the day at my house, clearing what I can, will visit the library and heritage centre exhibitions (both just across the car park) and stay for the fireworks. The following weekend there is a Christmas market Friday - Sunday with the Santa Parade on the Sunday (my reindeer will be back). There is also an installation type art work happening on the Country Park. It's free but you need a ticket for the evening event and it was an e-ticket. Only available slots are the 8.30 - 10 pm slot next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. No ticket required before 4 pm so may go for an explore and then get a ticket if we can get the printer working (on the list for Friday).
Tried to do a couple of small online orders but gave up. Was trying to compare wrapping paper over 2 sites and the commercial site was a pig to navigate. I've managed to mostly get out of buying presents (sent my sons and their partners money last year as I hadn't been able to see them for weeks/ months) and not sure I should be slipping back into it.
Had washing out on the line, brought bins in and accepted a delivery for mum, before 8 am. Tried to cancel mum's appointment (was too late when I got back yesterday and couldn't do it online). I hate wasting people's time and not sure why she is seeing the doctor/ nurse (she was meithering about eye drops she was prescribed briefly some years ago and I've already checked and the ones she has do the job, no need for the others - think the optician told us that). Got through to the surgery just after 8.30 am and they had no record of an appointment for her. Put the phone down and mum said she already cancelled it - so why not tell me instead of watching me tearing my hair out.
Said I hadn't slept and was going back to bed (felt hollow and sick) as I'd done all my tasks. According to mum, I can't sleep because I lie down all day - I don't even lie down when I'm sleeping, I sleep partly sitting up (more when I'm struggling to breathe). I do rest on the bed because it's easier to work the kinks out of my back on the bed and I spent most of yesterday on my feet rushing around.
Had a wash and put my dressing gown on. Mum's visitor was due so I took a bag of carrots, 5 leeks, a cabbage and a stew pack and sat on the bed chopping and peeling - made coleslaw (no dressing yet), root veg mash and the potatoes, carrots, onions and celery are all cooking nestled round the brisket I defrosted. Did have a doze this afternoon but went out to the shed for an hour before it went dark. Brought the washing in and set off a new load. Lots of tins brought in from the shed, 10 litres of water decanted into bottles, 3 boxes broken up (2 in the bin). Cans done (and squashed a bagful first thing and squeezed them into the top few inches of the bin), paper bag in service. Filled up the kitchen cupboards with soup and tinned rice pudding.
Since 6 pm (after I'd eaten) I have pulled all the stuff out of the Soupery in mum's room (down to 2 or 3 layers) and extremely difficult getting down there - had to stop to ease cramped toes and ankles. Rebuilt the stack with a layer of tomatoes and a layer of new stock soups at the base. As I suspected there were about a dozen cans of old stock soup buried at the bottom. Reorganised the rest and listed it as I went along. now have a pile of carrier bags to refold and put away. There's another cupboard which has tins in it but they will have to wait. i suspect there is some tinned fruit and a few other things in there but there's a double layer 2 foot pile of bedding on top and I can only guess at the contents from what bits of the pictures I can see.
I'm counting 10 on my decluttering (22 current total0. I have collected/ identified more things to go, but they will be part of my reverse advent calendar. May try to do the online order bits again as it's already a spend day.
Grateful for cooking and food prep going well, getting quite a lot done whilst feeling fairly ropey and Friday as a day of escape. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
evening
another NSD for me. Also a NMD (no motivation day). Couldn't be bothered with work so did what i had to and had a walk at lunch and an early finish. DD2 should've had an online consultation with hospital but got postponed. Had psyched myself up for it so felt a bit down that we now have to wait till next year. This evening did some of my PT jobs x 2. Submitted invoice for self employment work. Did a few surveys and have claimed a payout from PA. Also managed to do exercise class on Fb. Watched a drama series on 4OD Close to Me, really enjoying that & had a bath. Off to bed now with hottie (water bottle;)
gratitudes - WfH, easy meals, cosy bed
love to all

What a day!!
Was awake ages before the alarm went off, as I knew I had lots to do before taking DS2 to the Dr. Waited in the car while he went in, but then the Dr beckoned for me to go in too. She thought he was quite poorly & to either try tablets first or go to hospital. He chose to try tablets, so I dropped him home & rushed to work. 1.5hrs later DS2 phoned to say he felt worse, so dropped everything & took him to A&E. Two hours later he was discharged, will see if the tablets help him. He tends to look symptoms up online & I think he needed someone professional to tell him he wasn't as bad as he was imagining!
Wasn't time to return to work, so had a lie down (didn't sleep), then did the ironing. DS2 chose to sleep, so the rest of us had a family games night, then I've just been to set up my stall for tomorrow's fayre. Hubby has to man it for the first couple of hours, as I'm working, didn't give him a choice 😂
Grateful for another NSD(now 12), messages of well wishes for DS2, the news that a colleague's husband is starting to improve after being in a coma & being able to set my stall up tonightUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Staying on NSD 9. It would have been a NSD had it not been for a call from the company converting VHS tapes for me. One of the tapes was longer than the specified 2 hour time limit, so it cost an extra fiver. It's OK though. I wouldn't want to give Mum a DVD with part of the holiday missing. That's frugal gone too far!
For Mum's sprout day gift, I've had two old holiday videos converted to DVD. I'm looking forward to giving them to her (I think she'll love them) - it's footage she's not seen in years of me as a young child and my step-dad (Mum's OH for 25 years who passed away).
Grateful for coughing less last night and getting more sleep, for Mum looking after DS who's also under the weather, and for it being the end of my work week.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8 -
evening all
Thrifty - hope DS feels better soon and good luck with your stall
ldee that sounds like a lovely idea for a present!
hugs to anyone who needs or wants one
Felt slightly more alert today although didn't want to get up even after 9 hours sleep! Could sleep for hours at the moment.
Achieved some stuff at work and made miniscule progress with frog for PT job #2. I have now been paid for October though so that's a bit of motivation to carry onAlso stopped me being overdrawn (payday tomorrow for FT job)
Trying to persuade myself to do pilates on Fb at 7. Means late tea but nevermind, can eat with DD1 who is staying tonight.
Had to spend as needed new batteries for smoke alarm, bought some green stuff while in arseda.
Did a few surveys - after virtually none i've done 9 x PA surveys this week
Gratitudes - DD2 sounding cheerful; spending time with DD1; good books and hot baths

Had to go into work unexpectedly as another member of staff had reported in sick. Same tomorrow. We aren't all in together, but sometimes we overlap, so I did a lateral flow covid test *just in case* as that is what you immediately think of if someone isn't well, and it was negative, so that is a huge gratitude today!Nothing spent, so I am claiming NSD 5.Tomorrow won't be though, as our brilliant local butcher is doing 2kg boned and rolled pork loin joints for £10, so I have ordered one for the freezer, to pick up after work.
