A quiet day today. We couldnt go far as OH had a funeral to go to early afternoon. He was glad he went as he saw many old school friends and they had a good catch up.
I went into town to get some shopping and had a look in 6 charity shops and a house clearance warehouse. Haven't been able to get to any of these for quite a while so really enjoyed messing about. Spent £6 on 2 storage boxes, a book and some new to me Sprout Day decorations. This and a walk tonight helped boost my steps to 10K but meant 0/15 NSD.
Treated myself to a Gr*ggs sausage roll as a treat.
No decluttering today but back at it tomorrow.
Gratitudes were my shiney decorations that made me smile, the cat wanting to lie by me this afternoon and the fact that we are all still alive and kicking here.
Night all x

Waited in for my parcel redelivery. Came fairly early on and were the things I expected (Centre for Alternative Technology and refills of filters from Salford Royal - bonus a new mask). I try to be vigilant with my mask hygiene but MH issues means it's slipping at times (forgetting the late night pill may be what's damaging my diabetes control - something to add to things that need fixing list).
Another grey wet miserable day so not tempted to hare off anywhere. Just reading, relaxing and gentle tidying, meals were food use-ups. Some food waste - mostly mum's but she's blaming me (so what's new). I'm mostly ignoring her as she's going round finding things to be annoyed about, making lots of noise when she's doing something - usually something that doesn't need doing instead of using her energy on something pleasurable.
I ordered some medical items for her, failed to get through to book my covid booster and unfortunately the short break I wanted was fully booked up. Found another firm later on doing more or less the same trip but it's on 20th November (in one week) and not sure I can summon the required energy. Will contact them today as it may be full anyway. Half planning a night away somewhere (or possibly DS1's for a few days). Just a quiet time, reading, playing with the grandpuppy, doing a little walk round Boggart Hole Clough.
It's a nice day so will go out to the garden and shed to see what I can do.
Grateful for no desire to retaliate when mum's ranting, doing what I can to recover, spending some time on a puzzle (didn't make any sense earlier in the week), breathing much better. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Friday was NSD 6/15, but staying there for now.It was grocery delivery day today and OH, DS, and I went out for lunch to the hut that sells pizza. I don’t think the pizza is very good compared to what you can get elsewhere these days, but DS can read and was hugely excited by the name. The hut that sells pizza was also an exciting part of my childhood in the 90s - it’s where lucky kids had their birthday parties or you were taken as a treat! Well that was my childhood experience of it, but might’ve been a non-event for others. 😂Also bought some vitamins in the bolland and harrett sale. And DS picked a stocking for a nice woman to customise with his name. He was very disappointed after browsing a catalogue that came through our door this morning and finding that nothing had his name on it. 😂Decluttering has slowed down this week. Only added one item yesterday, and today 3. I also sold DS’s too-small balance bike for £30 on G-tree.November underspends goalUnderspends into holiday £28/£16060 items challenge

Afternoon allHaven't posted for a few days, though I have been reading along. Only 2 / 15 NSDs so far, though today will be another. I have spent the day in the garden. OH helped me to cut down the autumn raspberries and cut them up and put them in the compost, then mulch the bed. I applied fertiliser to a large container in which perpetual spinach is growing, and topped up the compost, then tidied the flower pots, and put in a few bulbs and pansies to fill the gaps. Some of the summer flowers are still blooming, so I left them in situ. I can always replace with something else if / when they die off. I notice that some of the hellebores are starting to flower, as is my Christmas cactusDecluttering is up to 22 items, as I binned a couple of broken camping water containers when I was making space in the garage to store some large pots.Grateful today for nice weather so that I could get some gardening done.6

@ldee2111 I remember going there for the ice cream as a kid and just covering it in sweets and sauce and everything else disgusting!
Today was a planned spend day. Had an opticians appointment and need a new prescription, which isn't a surprise as I'd suspected it for a while. Found two designer pairs online for £75 (thanks to the mse email!), the optician wanted £120 just to put new lenses in my current frames!
Then went to have my haircut, the payment machine for the car park was broken so I didn't have to pay for that. I was really early so I did end up treating myself to a coffee.
Spent the afternoon cleaning/relaxing. Nice not to be working at my part time job this weekend. OH and I have had a pizza from a local place tonight and some prosecco, nice end to the day.7 -
Grateful for having ds1 home, he took me out for coffee in heh park, we walked almost 1 k. I managed to put his travel backpack in the attic, so one thing is put in the right place, only 2 -3m2 to go! But most of it just need checking on and labelling, and swopping between 2 rooms. He is now in his room looking at stuff, it feels pretty good to be honest. The only thing is I don't know how the pulled pork got set to 250 degrees abd got completely burnt, I'm sure it's ok on the inside though. !!!!!! happens.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Met my niece and her toddler in a local town so I could show them to the registry office for her friend's wedding. She doesn't know the town and also needed a sherpa to carry 2 coats, a handbag and a phone while she carried the little one. Unbelievably we were the first ones to arrive, the rest arrived on a red vintage double decker bus which was fantastic!
Helped me reach 9.5K steps walking to and from the ceremony.
0/15 NSD and no decluttering. Really need to get cracking on these.
Took mum to order a new armchair this afternoon, do a food shop and then head home to feed next door's cats. We are cat-sitting for the weekend but they are no trouble.
When we got home we had a lovely surprise as my son had called in to mow the lawn. Unfortunately we missed seeing him (again).
Gratitudes today are meeting my niece and seeing the lovely wedding party being photographed, my son mowing the lawn and mum ordering a new chair.

NSD 9 (might be 10 but 9 is okay). Tracked down the last of the receipts from last Friday and this Thursday and worked out my spending. I have spent £56.07 on food, of which £29.30 was purchases at Tessimo which had previously been ordered but were out of stock when my order came. I have spent £19.50 on travel (2 days with a £6 all day anybus ticket plus one taxi fare). Last week's 'frivolous' purchases were £17.88 and miscellaneous is £11.97 (online purchases made on the same days as other spending). Somewhere in there mum owes me £3.99 for several packs of paracetamol.
Quiet day today, filled another 50 l container and did some bits outside, brought mum's washing in when it started to get dark. yoghurt, chicken and sweetcorn wraps to eat. Mum wanted to share a pizza but it was one I don't like (not a huge pizza fan - they used to make me ill so I only have have them now and then) so I opened some cooking bacon and had 3 pieces with baked beans.
Grateful for the series of books I'm part way through (read one of the novels and 4 short stories this week), grab and go food, hot water. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Glad you've had a better day today Mothernerd.
Went for a walk after breakfast, as had letters for the RM survey to post. As there was no wind & it was dry (very rare on our island 🤣) I cut up a plastic milk bottle to make a scoop & went up a ladder to clear the guttering. Another job ticked off the list! Cleaned the bathroom, then a friend took me to a large craft fayre. Did treat myself to a sprout decoration of a sheep made from wool rovings from the seaweed eating sheep we have on the northernmost island (they live on the beaches there). Also ordered some eco products to try - deodorant, shampoo bars & a conditioner bar. A quick tea, then took DS3 & picked mum up, to see the bonfire & fireworks in town. Usually go to a friend's party, but not on this year, so was a nice change. Did some knitting & watched TV when we got home.
Grateful for a nice walk, looking round the craft fayre, seeing the fireworks (they didn't upset the swans, they were swimming happily in front of where the fire was)Use it up, wear it out
