NSD no.8 today.
I know that I was not going to do any decluttering, but I have managed to donate 5 items to cs and one electrical item was taken to the recycling centre. Used up 2 toiletries and containers recycled. This has been done over a week. I am just going to plan to use up with what I got before buying more things and bringing them into the flat. Binned 2 items that could not be recycled or donated.
Grateful for:
Communal recycling bin being emptied, has not been emptied for nearly a month.
Good night sleep.
Busy day in work, so the day went quickly.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20137 -
NSD 4 achieved and decluttered one item - hot water bottle that has split! Got 2 more thankfully as i usually go to bed with 2 of them
Had a long day at work. Went for a walk at lunch and straight after work to get my 10k steps in.
Did a UGov survey - very close to my £50 reward now .....
Gratitudes - DD1 feeling better after a tummy bug since Friday; nice letter from my sis; sat and watched the birds in the garden while having a cuppa tea

Took mum for a pub meal tonight. Very nice. Could not eat a dessert despite hearing the mention of toffee crunch tart and seeing a tower of profiteroles go past our table. 😋
Paid the deposits for 8 of us to have our Christmas meal at the pub on 15th Dec.
Hence still on 0/15 NSD.
Found a new antiperspirant, mouthwash and hand cream in the garage so have brought them in to use up.
Leftover Satay Curry for work lunch. I'm sure it tasted better cold today. Same again tomorrow to finish it off.
Decluttering: 1 foxy purse, 1 new travel toothbrush/toothpaste set, 2 new dummies in a sterilizing box and a hair clip. Any items this month in new or good condition will go to charity, the rest in the dustbin or recycling.
Given some stacking crates from work to store items while I sort them. Gave my friend 2 to put in her car to hold walking boots, etc. and 1 to the lady who does charity car boots as they are good for transporting china.
3K steps as sat at my workbench again. Will have to walk further on my days off.
Need to book covid booster, flu jab and check up at dentists.
Early bed tonight. Night all x

I made a mistake on my NSD’s yesterday. I claimed I had 7 but in fact today is NSD # 6. Not sure how I got to 7 but it’s correct now.
Had a good day WFH so no travelling. Not done much else except for a couple of loads of washing.
Today I am grateful for a bright sunny day which was also fairly warm too. Not the sort of weather you associate with almost mid November. Also grateful for homemade ready meals and a quiet hour on the sofa with the dogs.
off to bed now as I have to be up early as it’s our weekly day in the office. Have to do a COVID test first thing so I can email the results to HR.That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"7 -
NSD#6
Dropped a black bag & an old suitcase off to lady up the road who collects things for CS she helps to run. Work was ok, had to use all my patience this afternoon, so glad when the day was done & I could go home. Hubby had lit the fire so our living room was very warm, ended up closing my eyes for half an hour lol. Did some sewing after tea & had a soak in the bath with my book. Just watched the 5th episode of Angela Black, really enjoying it.
Haven't had chance to do much walking, the weather has been foul & as we live in the countryside, there are no streetlights! Hoping I can do a bit at the weekend.
Grateful for the colleague I helped last Friday who met me at the school gates to give me & fellow support staff some brownies, another hug from pupil before hometime, reading my bookUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

7 NSDs, adding three to my total for decluttering making 7/ 60. Only recycling but I have actively gone looking for it and collecting from around the house and garden. My room is a bit clearer, used half a drawer for spare toiletries and the 'medical' stuff which came last week (antiseptic cream and wipes, vapour rub, ibuprofen, bandages). Found a few more carrier bags (7 kondoed yesterday) all put away in one bag and then started folding bags for life and put those in as well.
Went through my notes and tried to focus on particular MH issues in preparation for my assessment interview. That went very well, she thought it would take half an hour to 3/4 but was actually an hour and a 1/4. Several therapy options available
1) Basic wellness course (one I did before but it is now done by video link). this could be useful as I have the course booklet and have tried to go through it but atm I need the discipline of having to check n with someone else once a week.
2) Similar course but for people with long term conditions (both mental and physical). This is my best option, I think. The only problem with these 2 options is that they are done by video link. The next course starts on December 8th. She has made a note that I may need extra help setting up the technology and I'm also going to ask DS3 and Beloved to help me
3) One to one - this follows on from the wellbeing course, if it's thought necessary (it happened last time). Not offered initially as there's a waiting list. The wellbeing courses mean they can give some support to a lot more people, very quickly
4) An online course without video link - questionnaires, exercises and Q & A sessions. I plumped for this (simpler for me) but she thought I could use some connection with other people (having no social life whatsoever currently)
I have an emergency 24 hour phone number if I need it.
Over the past few days I've been making an effort to stand up straight and it's helping. When I'm doing something standing up, I'm putting my feet further apart so I have a good strong base. I also try to correct my posture when sitting or in sleeping position as soon as I notice I'm starting to slump.
All my meals have been use ups, the last two wraps, fruit loaf toast and easy options - a couple of satsumas, plums, berries (bought extra to encourage healthy eating, mostly I just buy apples and sometimes bananas). Hoping to use up a couple of lip balms and end of tubes of things like antiseptic cream.
Grateful for Wellbeing courses, the NHS, easy food, escaping from a long mum lecture (she wanted to steal my Bay pyramid and the rest was asking why I hadn't done this, that and the other - she had noticed I had folded the polytunnel cover so I listed all the other outside jobs I'd done yesterday). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Yesterday was a bit of a dod my uni students were behaving like 6th formers and I wasn't properly prepared, so day went a bit tits up. Went to see ds1, he kicked me out at 7 as he wanted to go to bed, and I ended up going home. Dangerous as swimming is at 8.30 and I was in bed by then. So feel a hair guilty, but I did bike to work, eat kind of sensibly and biked back and forth to work.
Luckily the neighbours were arguing at 5.45 this morning as mu phone had died and alarm not gone off.
Ds1 might take up the offer of 2 weeks extra of therapy as he likes the team. And it gives him an actual choice. The alternative is being at home by himself in the day for the 2 weeks.
He might try and volunteer/work as a teaching assistant sometime after Christmas.

morning turtles
will need turtle strength today, feel so tired even though i had 9 hours sleep. Have got to go into the office for an eve meeting so won't be home till 9pmish. Been watching The Tower so would like to be home for final episode. Have already spent money as sent DD2 £20 for the gym, even though she can't actually use it at the moment, oh well. Thinking will have early lunch so can go for a quick walk then drive to work for about 2pm.
Have got loads of food in the fridge as got discount offer for Hiya fresh - really like the food and am not wasting any food but it is over £30 when full price so have cancelled from next week .

Hi turtles,
I'm staying on NSD 4 because I did a top-up shop today: milk, coriander, and yellow stickered avocados and basil. I didn't need the basil, but I'll blend it up in an arrabiatta sauce this evening and freeze it for future use. I also need to make soup before I get limp carrots! Will do that after DS goes to bed since OH is working late this eve.
I didn't have time to find two items to declutter today - does scoffing two packets of chocolate buttons count? I did it in less that 2 seconds - bonus points?
Don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling an overwhelming urge to spend just now! Really having to talk myself out of 'going for a wee browse'! Is it the duller days and the sparkly adverts that's bringing this on? Who knows?!
I also got the COVID booster and flu jab this afternoon. Happy about that.Grateful today for getting vaccines, for Halloween chocolate supply still going, and for a generally good day with good vibes.November underspends goalUnderspends into holiday £28/£16060 items challenge- broken printer (to recycling centre)
