Evening turtles. Today was meant to be a NSD but there was a sale on a website where I've been watching some stuff for ages and suckered that I am I bought a few bits. Some were gifts, the main thing was a pair of boots I've had my eye on.
Nothing much else to report, applied for a couple of jobs, got loads of stuff done at home and had a pretty chill day.7 -
No money spent, more tidying done (can actually see some improvement finally), helped mum sewing flowers onto a curtain tie-back, made arrangements to have a parcel redelivered, sorted mum's pills, flattened empty boxes (not counting that as clutter - I will do when I've filled the bag again). Mum had an afternoon visitor so lined up bottles and jars for her to open.
Grateful for the book I'm reading (4 short stories that fit within a series I'm reading), easy food and use ups, mum's pills arriving. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Evening all, hope you've all had a good day.
Finished the 20 circuit boards at work so happy about that. Did actually improve a bit the more I did. Finished my 3 day week, hurray!
Only done 4K steps today but will try to catch up over next 4 days.
0/15 NSD as I bought a newspaper. If I've budgeted for these does anyone know if they still count as a spend, please?
Finished the Satay Curry foemr to go lunch. Very nice but glad it's used up. Also ate the last (big) slice of Salted Caramel Cake from the Co then felt very queasy until home home. Shouldn't have been a 🐷
Decluttering a struggle tonight but came out of my garage hoard with 3 new notebooks, a DVD and an olive dish. Also found an ancient chocolate heart in red foil so ditched it. Mice found one years ago in my bedroom and I could hear them chewing the foil off all night behind the wardrobe!
Gratitudes today: my sister being told she doesn't have cancer in her neck but will need an op, the end of my working week and arranging to meet up with a friend at the weekend. (Hoping to tour the charity shops in my old home town together).
Sleep tight x

Today was our weekly office day. Only spends were travel so can now officially claim NSD # 7.
Met a few new people face to face for the first time today so lots of meetings plus a double baby shower, one person already had her baby and the other ones partner is due in 2 weeks, so not as productive work wise as when WFH.
TODAY I am grateful for my new wheeled laptop bag making the walk to and from the station much more comfortable and easier on my back. For meeting the most docile, smiley and content 3 month old baby and for the rain stopping during my walks to and from the station. That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"7 -
Esmeralda, do you buy your paper every day? Is it an irregular or regular purchase? Is it really a necessity? If it is, maybe set aside the money for it at the start of the month and have a 'paper budget'.

Hugs @mothernerd& for anyone else who need one, good news about your sister @Esmeralda2662, hope she gets better soon.
A day mostly spent supervising pupils doing assessments, followed by a meeting after work. Arrived home just before total darkness, pottered about a bit, sorted some cards for CS & some magazines for recycling. Had our first winter family games night, lots of laughs including tears of laughter 😂 read over DS3's big research project & printed it off ready for tomorrow's deadline. Did a few rows of knitting & watched TV. Hubby says he might get the tubes in his chest removed at the end of next week 🤞 pleased that'll be done up here, & not a trip to Aberdeen hospital 😃 dialysis still going well.
Grateful for hubby doing so well, games night, & a night off from sewingUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

NSD 5.
Absolutely shattered and unmotivated today as I've been up since 2am! I couldn't sleep last night from having two sore arms after Covid booster and flu vaccine yesterday, feeling nauseous (possibly from vaccines too), and having a lingering cold that has me coughing throughout the night.
I made soup for lunch and Mum had some too when she popped in for a visit earlier. Cashed out £1.10 from cashback site. Walked to the Post Office to send a letter for OH and also to see if fresh air would help the nausea and lift my mood. It did a little. I haven't looked for anything to declutter today yet but will make up for it when I've got a bit more 'va va voom'.Grateful today for quiet time to myself, for wfh, and for cosy throws on the couch.November underspends goalUnderspends into holiday £28/£16060 items challenge- broken printer (to recycling centre)

Evening turtles.
NSD today. Had a nice dog walk this morning with my friend's dog, the fog was so thick but there were lots of doggy friends for him to play with.
Had a meeting with my manager today where I told her things weren't really working out for me, she was really nice and full of praise, I felt so guilty but needed to get it off my chest.
Applied for a couple more jobs, that's the last of them so we'll see what happens. They're all decent, one is fixed term so that's my least favourite and one I'd have to negotiate salary but who knows, they may not even get that far so I shouldn't go jumping the gun at all!
Currently sitting listening to OH cursing at the computer (which is plugged into the TV so have to wait until he's finished before I can watch anything) because he's trying to use an expired Office account to do his work invoices but obviously it's not working and he's so stubborn he thinks he can somehow make it work.... so I'll be saving my own sanity and buying him a new subscription for his birthday on my next spend day!10 -

Had shopping delivered today so not a NSD.
Got up early today as shopping being delivered between 7 & 8 this morning so managed to do a bit of housework before logging onto work 45 minutes early. Did a few more tasks at lunchtime. Hoping to get some more jobs done tomorrow so I have less to do over the weekend.
Today I’m grateful for shopping arriving early, an unexpected parcel arriving which I think must be a competition win as I hadn’t ordered anything. It’s actually a toy which will go in my step grandsons Christmas box and for good coffee. That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"8
