Utility Point => EDF - Progress with dates on EDF web-site (new?)

Another update has appeared on https://www.edfenergy.com/content/welcoming-utility-point-customers dated 1 March 2022, so that's over a month since the previous update.
Most of it is the same as before, it says "over 235,000 customers have now received their Utility Point Closing account statement" compared to 200,000 previously.
Also it has removed the advice to log into your Utility Point account.
For former-UP non-EDF customers due a refund it still says "your credit will be issued via a cheque. This will take some time - please bear with us - there's nothing you need to do" so more patience required for some people I guess.
I'm still with EDF, I've switched to "Direct Debit Whole Amount" payments, and just had my second EDF bill, so it seems to be running ok for me.

I came to EDF from UP. I still not been credited with £133.32 from Utility point I got my final bill from them. I have just been looking at EDF rates they're charging me on variable this cant be right surely, I have yet to be billed from themElectricity unit rate: 27.09p per kWhDaily standing charge: 48.91p per dayGas unit rate: 7.226p per kWhDaily standing charge: 27.22p per day
Average price cap suppose to be
4.07 kWh for gas
Electric 20.8kWh source MSE What is the energy price cap? (moneysavingexpert.com)0 -
Those prices look like the cap from April. Your bill, when you get one, should show the current cap prices until the end of March. Just make sure you give them meter readings on 31 March and keep a note so that you can check when the bill comes in.CharlieBilly said:I came to EDF from UP. How long ago was your final UP statement created? It took about a month for my credit balance to appear EDF after that (late December -> late January)CharlieBilly said:I came to EDF from UP. I still not been credited with £133.32 from Utility point I got my final bill from them.
By default, if you were on Direct Debit with UP, I think EDF only bill every 6 months.CharlieBilly said:I have yet to be billed from them
Once my credit had appeared I switched to "Direct Debit Whole Amount (Monthly)", which bills monthly, but even then EDF initially messed up and initially used some inaccurate estimated readings rather than the exact readings I had submitted that day.
I spoke to them and they re-calculated the bill based on my readings, but it was still more hassle than it should have been.0 -
My final utility point bill was For the period 10/04/2021 to 21/11/20210

My final UP statement was for early September to late November, but the statement date, shown near the top right, when it was actually generated, wasn't until late December.CharlieBilly said:My final utility point bill was For the period 10/04/2021 to 21/11/2021
And then the credit appeared in at EDF in late January, though I had to go into 'Bills and Payments history' on my EDF account in the web-site to see it.0 -
There's been another update to https://www.edfenergy.com/content/welcoming-utility-point-customers headed "Update 1 April 2022".
It's fairly similar to the previous update of 1 March 2022, I guess they are updating monthly now.
Re "The vast majority of customers have now received a final closing account statement from Utility Point" - the implication is that EDF acknowledge that some ex-UP customers still haven't received their final closing account statements.
Re "We are currently issuing these credit refunds via cheques in the post, this will take some time - please bear with us - there's nothing you need to do." - no specific timescale again, just "some time".
Looking at this MSE article from last month - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2022/03/bust-energy-suppliers-credit-delays-survey/ - it says that 12% of former Green Network Energy customers (GNE went transferred to EDF on 31 January 2021) were still waiting then, over 13 months later, so I guess it could be a while longer for some former UP customers too.0
