  • I need to keen an eye on this - EDF said my switch had fully completed a while back, but so far my credit hasn't gone across. I was later than many to reach the switch complete stage though so suspect that will just be the same with the credit too.

Also not helpful for people (like me) with a final bill with errors that need correcting

The phone line has also been closed down & I suspect if I phone EDF they will try to claim its not their problem as they did not generate the bill despite that final UP bill having their charges on it (& in my case an incorrect transfer read from EDF to BG Evolve)

Does anybody know how you can contact the adminstrators now ?

The only thing I have found so far is a possible address I can write too i..e  https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3892094

BTW I have tried both the phone numbers listed & neither work

Also just realised there is a postal address on the final bill

I guess one option is the email address on https://www.utilitypoint.co.uk/ - INS_UTILPL@alvarezandmarsal.com
But can I ask whether the errors that need correctly relate to before or after 14 September 2021?
Because over on https://www.edfenergy.com/content/welcoming-utility-point-customers down in the "Frequently asked questions" section, under the heading "Accounts in debit or credit" the question "I have a query about a previous Utility Point statement or payment, what should I do?" has the answer:
"We’d love to help you, but we do not hold any details of previous bills or payments. This applies to all bills or payments dated before 14 September 2021."

Which implies to me that if the problem relates to the billing done by UP after they went into administration, then EDF might be able to help with it.

the correct email address is actually INS-UTILPL@alvarezandmarsal.com

(dash not an underscore as per the gazette notice)

    I have just emailed them

The error is in the EDF part of the bill so if I have no luck with the admnstrators email I will try to raise a complaint with EDF but without an account number that might be difficult
  • I've just found that https://portal.utilitypoint.co.uk/Account/Login is still working - so for anyone who still hasn't had their final statement from UP (including the transitional time where UP were billing on EDF's behalf) it could be worth logging in regularly.

Thank you @Detail_Merchant - I had checked our bill when it arrived on the portal originally but hadn’t screenshot it for some reason - I’ve now been able to put that right just in case of issues later. Much appreciated!

Oh great.  So, now it seems that the administrators have left the building (I hope they turned the lights out, electric is expensive these days), it looks as though I'm in the lurch with my credit and having no final statement. :s
A million thanks to @Detail_Merchant for that link, although I still don't see any bills on my account, final or otherwise.
Time to get on the blower to EDF and see what they think I should do.
  • thankfully I now have a corrected final bill from UP

has anybody who left UP for another supplier (not EDF) received a refund cheque from EDF yet ?

I have received this very recently but there’s no attachment, no statement, and nothing on the UP website, though I suspect that’s not being updated, even though you can theoretically log in.

Still waiting for a refund from EDF.
