Thanks Coupon-mad
Just one more question, in the guidance it says to email a copy to both CCBC and VCS . Can i use a downloaded form and just put an electronic signature in it, or am i better scanning my paper form as it has a proper signature on it and then sending that as a pdf attachment ?
Its just i work away all week and wanted to get this sorted asap , i have until the 17th so not a problem if i have to do my scanning at the weekend.
Thanks0 -

If you're able, I'd do the latter, but wouldn't be too consumed about which, or why. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

IMHO you're perfectly fine using a digital signature, as long as it has an image of your real signature and is not just your name in print.Jenni x2

Hi All,
Just need some advice as i think i have seriously cocked up. Been seriously busy the last few months so just got my paperwork out and i have missed my date for submitting my defence. The letter i received had two dates on . One was 12th of July which was the date Vcs had to pay the trial fee by and then underneath it said the parties had until 5th of June to submit any written evidence they wish to rely on.
Does this mean its game over in regards to me defending this in the court or is it worth me contacting the court and tell them i got confused over the dates ?
Thanks

But surely you've already filed a defence? Do you mean you had by 5th June to file and serve your Witness Statement (+ evidence)?
Have you received a WS from VCS?Jenni x2 -
Hi Jenni,
Yes i received a WS from Vcs that shows all my correspondence and stuff that i sent them but i haven't sent my own witness statement and evidence to the court. Obviously i really wanted to send my granddaughters medical records in as that was the reason my wife stopped back in 2019 after she had been sick and had a cleft palate so needed attention.
My daughter got her first home 6 weeks ago so i have been there every opportunity doing work on it and got completely sidetracked. I could honestly kick myself.0 -
Just get it off urgently - like tonight/tomorrow morning, whatever you can rustle up. Something is infinitely better than nothing and (potentially) keeps you in the Squid Game. Don't prevaricate. The longer you delay, the almost certainty you will lose by default, with no get out. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Thanks Umkomaas
Is it worth me contacting the court or should i just send something in and hope for the best ?0 -
Just do it anyway and email a bundle tomorrow! Do not draw attention to it being late - at all.
