  • Hi There not been around much. I've been on here since 4.00pm catching up on what i've missed out on since last thursday.

My cousin & I have broken our 9 month rule that I mentioned last week. She had a baby girl 2 weeks ago & I was hoping that I would find out I was pregnant this month too but TOTM happened last friday after 42 days & broke the pattern. Its been about 18months of trying now for baby 2 & no luck I had no TOTM for 10 months & was told to lose weight & that would help. Well TOTM came back with long cycles of 35-45 days for the last 5 months. I've lost 17lbs in weight & am thinking of going back to the docs again after christmas. They thought I'd got PCOS so went for scans, the sonographer said she could rule it out but when I went back to the GP he said the report from the hospital said its still a possibility so still no straight answer & it will be a year in January since I first went to see someone.

My 2 year old LG keeps saying mummy have baby I want a sister, & it breaks my heart to keep having to tell her not yet & that when she's 3 she might have one although I'd quite like to have a boy this time. There were 3 of my little group trying for baby's & the other 2 are due in June.

I went out Saturday night for our Yummy Mummy's xmas night out - 34 (9 of which were pregnant again) mum's of 1-2 year olds no partners, no kids. It was great i was really naughty I had chicken & liver pate with toast & cranberry chutney, followed by crown of duck with vintage port & blackberry sauce, & veg, & dark & deadly chocolate torte. Then spent the rest of the night on the dance floor hence the 1lb loss last week.

I'll post a before pic over the next couple of days - I'm knackered & i've got work at 9.30 in the morning

    night night
Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Gorgeous morning here on planet Petrichor :j :j ...

...emmalis Even when your cycle returns it takes a while for things to settle down, so try not to get too stressed and anxious about it. Put your mind to other things and relax, then hopefully the good news will come your way soon :j ...

suggs I have shown everyone I know your photo, my kids know all about you as I talk about you and they are like WOW, wow and thrice wow:D

Just seen advertised for next tuesday loose 30 stone or die on ITV1 will be watching that. I watch them all on living, channel 4, sky, my kids says 'oh mum, not again'!

I am going out to buy a dress for xmas day, normally I choose red or black but this year am going for another colour, wanted the one Gok showed on his last show from Principles but been on the web site and it is not there:cool:
and none on ebay, typical, it is black and white, you can't be too daring:rotfl:

I can feel a argumentative day coming on, H and I have already had mumbles, moans and groans at this time of morning and then shopping, they all hate it, passionately:rotfl: plus it is very cold so it all adds up to a spiffingly good day:rotfl:

  • Morning everyone,

Victory I don't think you're the only one with an argumentative day ahead of them. OH came back last night around 2am and proceeded to chat to the people on the gaming site that he uses. Of course, he's got a low voice and managed to wake me up out of a sound sleep. I had to get up and boot his backside up to bed cos he'd be on there all night if I didn't! DS took himself off to bed an hour early last night too so I was worried he'd be up at !!!! crow and I'd be too tired to deal with him. Thankfully it was his usual 7am wake up call.

I have no idea what's wrong with me this morning but I'm operating on a really short fuse! 6kix0l0.gifThe slightest thing is getting on my nerves and I think I'm going to have to lock myself into another room to avoid major trouble. Problem is, OH is still in bed (naturally) and I have to deal with DS and the pigdog by myself . The pigdog is being particularly clingy this morning - she keeps walking around me in circles. I've nearly tripped over her about 3 times already. I would put her back outside but DS freaks out to get her back in again.

Right, I'm off to keep myself occupied before I start to kill dead things!
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.

    Looking fab suggs xxxx

    Big congratulations honey

bb ~onwards & upwards now.Sometimes its better to know IYSWIM
You could consider a wee course on living with your chronic condition~some great tips in the one I went on.
    Take care Lou xx

You are so right beanie - I also think it is sooo much better to know, then it's easier to make a plan of action. Wierdly I also stop feeling mildly guilty I'm making a fuss about nothing, even though I've been in agony:o .
As for courses: I've been living with 2 chronic conditions for 20 and 10 years respectively and have got living with them pretty well sussed, from pacing myself, to saying no (frequently:D ), letting go of expectations and building smaller dreams and hopes, to seeking help when I need it. I'v had to rebuild a completely new life. In fact my GP thinks I should lead one of those courses. But of course one invaluable gift in living with chronic illness is having somewhere it is safe to have a little wail before return to the fray and being brave and strong. It's lovely to have you all here for huggles:o . If the arthritus doesn't go with the change in meds (which it should) I would be interested in a pain management course but hopefully I won't need it.

Delly, your fallen angel breaks my heart: :grouphug: . It's nothing as simple as TOTM is it? Probably not: somedays are just rubbish. Hope it picks up as you go along.Ditto Victory.
As for the filthy ogling of the male form that is going on round here, well, as a pure and simple gal I simply don't know where to look (coz I haven't got sky sports...:rotfl: )
Lovely advent piccy pet: I must suggest this idea to Mr BB (also currently known as serf number one) as a means of me getting around at the mo.
Appetite still low but very thirsty so drinking loads: all seems to be getting stored 'cameleque' in my knee at the mo :rotfl:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hi all

Not logged on for a few days and as usual it has taken me ages to catch up.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time before having to pop out and then try and put the tree up so best wishes to everyone and big hugs to those that need them.

A special Wow to Suggs though - the difference in those two pictures is amazing. You look fantastic and should be so proud of yourself.

Anyway, just had to log on to say I am all excited because Secret Santa has visited my house today!!! sport-smiley-001.gifsport-smiley-001.gifsport-smiley-001.gif

Bad news - hubby has had to take the parcel away speechless-smiley-040.gif to stop me poking and prodding and trying to guess what it is. laughing-smiley-014.gif

A big thanks to whoever sent it and roll on 24th as I can't wait to open it.
  • Hi everyone, just been catching up on my reading of this wonderful thread. The support here is clearly inspirational. I'm currently spending the weekend with my parents which means little control over food. Having said that they haven't done too badly (grilled steak for dinner) but I'm looking forward to getting home and back to feeding myself. Hope everyone is keeping warm and cosy, it's chilly out there!
