  • Suggs, the difference in those two years is incredible and you look a lovely bloke now and totally scrumming to me :D . I know your afraid of letting things slip and how to maintain but the longer you do maintain, the more confidence and belief in yourself I hope you'll have. The good news for us is that you'll be sticking with us long term to keep focussed. Hurray:T .

Hospital blood test results...they are so spot on fab, even a bit lower than they actually should be that the consultant had to re-check why I was put on the tablets in the first place, now there's a thing:D :j

I have decided I am so fed up with being cold I am going to live in a hot all year round country;) just jessin':D

suggs well done on the weight loss this week

Good news victory! youre a braver woman than i. My biggest phobia is blood tests. I nearly went to see my boyfriend donate blood, saw a man lying on a bed doing it and felt positively sick. Thankfully he couldnt do it (in a selfish way) but then to my horror i had to pick up my graduation gown from the same hall! All i could think about was that man ha.

Ive just done 1756 steps on the stepper. Going to go back to do some more, but ive got a cold so im finding it even harder to do :(
  • Hi everyone,

Sorry about the huge pic of the huge tree. It's a more normal size now thanks to Petrichor.

As for the colours Pet I'll be keeping them the same as last year. I have to say, I much prefer the tradition of bringing out the same decorations every year. I spent about 5 years getting enough decorations bought to be able to afford and decorate a really big tree. This one is 7ft tall and takes up one corner of my living room. (can you tell I love Christmas!). I spent a small fortune in a tiny shop in Sherbourne high street in Dorset about 6 years ago (lots of tiny sparkly Angels) and I love them so much I couldn't bear changing the colours.

Suggs - one word - 7xob1ig.gif As for Tigger - he's a Disney Marionette and moves like he's skating. I also have Winnie the Pooh (collected them for quite some time until everyone bought me so much I got sick of them.)

brightonbelle I'm glad that you've at least got an explaination for the pain you're suffering. I hope everything works out.

victory - glad to hear the test results were good. As for the cold, I'm sorry to say that you lost your insulation when you lost weight and you'll feel the cold a lot more easily now.

Have a great time anyone who's out clothes shopping at the minute. The best thing about the credit crunch for us is that most retailers are starting their sales a week or so earlier, hopefully you guys will get some bargains.

Oh my god Suggs, I've seen your photos before and was mighty impressed but now you've added that last one I'm truly staggered! I had to show my whole family I was so impressed and they all thought it was fantastic too! You look amazing, I hope you are truly proud. The belief that you have done it and are no longer the person in the before photo will sink in eventually. Congratulations mate! xx

  • Suggs I can only repeat what I said this morning - that you look astonishing! What a great inspiration :T I can't believe that you are still classed as overweight. I bet MrsS is really proud of you :j. Well done with the weigh in too, we'll get this maintaining stuff cracked in time ;) ...

...Most of the images are Gifs as I think they're more interesting, I'm still a child at heart. I just decided on the spur of the moment to start putting some seasonal ones on here because it was such a dull day at the time (plus I love to play and I'm not much good at anything else at the moment!). I've found a particularly nice one for the 24th...

Petrichor your daily step count is very impressive! Well done! Isn't that around 4 or 5 miles a day (roughly)? Please wear your new clothes! If you don't wear them then that's money wasted and Martin will be cross with you!

I don't have a problem wearing my new clothes (there isn't anything else to wear for a start!) but having been overweight or at least a bit podgy all my adult life, I really can't relate to being "slim" as I guess I am now. I don't see a slim person when I look in the mirror, yet if I'm buying size 8 trousers I know I must be... it is very strange.

I also still go for the same old styles and colours as I would if I was my previous weight, when maybe I should be trying to show off my new figure? But then I don't want to dress too young for my age 'cos that's never a good look :p I need a stylist...

    Hi Missy

Thanks re the steps, since I've lost this weight I feel really fit and healthy. I can run without wobbling now :j :j . I must admit though that I'm just like you in respect of my image in my bedroom mirror, I don't look as if I've altered at all, yet, and this is the strangest thing, I just happened to catch my reflection elsewhere and I was really taken aback at how much weight I'd lost . It's also the same with the new size clothes, I know I must be slim, so why don't I feel it?? I know that at this time last year I could only dream of being this size for this Christmas. So I've decided to get my trousers out at the weekend and see if it helps, as you say it's not very :money:. The last thing I want to do is put the weight back on, as before:o and a style change is a very good idea, we are so used to dressing to conceal, so let's get something that shows off our new found figures :D ...

...Off to get dinner ready, boil-in-the-bag fish, new potatoes and peas, Suggs earlier post reminded me that there was a box of the stuff lurking in the freezer, and I love it :j ...

    xxxx

ps Eurosport - winter sports totty ay! You wouldn't get me watching strong young men, with firm thighs, skiing downhill/slalom in skin tight suits, muscles rippling....ooooooooh! Bode!!!!! Where is he? You should be ashamed of yourself missyg :rotfl:

Tree looks lovely Delly! My 9-year old is in charge of tree decorating in our house, I just put the tree up and string the lights, and he makes all kinds of things to hang on it proper Blue Peter style! I love it! He has a way better social life than me too, mind you that's not saying much as mine is practically nil :p

KPC - good luck with the visit. Save any good quotes for us! Not sure anyone will top "this ice cream is too cold", though :rotfl:

BB, thanks for the update, so you hopefully have something to go on now and I really hope this can get resolved for you soon. It does seem so complicated. Poor you.

Bails oh my goodness I hated sport at school and I was so rubbish at everything! If my old PE teachers could see how much activity I do now, they simply wouldn't believe it. Ooh, clothes shopping, let us know how you get on!

Suggs - just can't believe it's the same guy in those two pictures! Can't imagine how much better you must feel for that! An absolutely brilliant achievement! Congrats on your 3lb off this week! Definitely keep the polls coming. I'm in the majority on the current one, for a change :p

So happy about your result Victory! Really good to have two pieces of more positive 'health' news today, yours and BB.

Vixarooni, please don't overdo it on the stepper if you're not feeling 100%. I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that it's not a good idea to do too much exercise if you're under the weather... I'll re-check that.

Bode is still around Petrichor! He came second in the Super G today. I'm more a Nordic than an Alpine girl which means I generally prefer to see my men throwing themselves headlong off mountains than ski-ing down them :p

Beanielou, have fun at your friends tonight!

ps: I'm not doing much this weekend so if anyone wants to waste a bit of time on facebook PM me with how to find you :D
