Congratulations Honey - I'm looking forward to hearing what the new arrival is!
Suggs Had to get my glasses out to look for your bits, but it looks like someone's hand. Is that not how the person behind you holds on? Oh er missus!
Pet I love today's pic. Thanks for that! I quite like this one:Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Haha Petrichor, you can take away my cakes, biscuits, sweets and crisps but you will NOT take away my right to tune into Eurosport and check out the latest sports totty!
(Winter sports totty in my case
).
It's a great pic of Suggs, isn't it! He's all focused! I didn't notice the hole in the shorts till Vix pointed it out
I went from 9.5 stone to 12.5 stone with my pregnancy, and then down to 9 stone within a year which was the lightest I had been for years, until now. I didn't do ANYTHING to lose the baby weight afterwards except breastfeeding which is supposed to help.
I showed my son this morning how big my trousers are for me now, and he said I could stop dieting now as I'm thin enough! So cute.
What's everyone up to this weekend? Anyone braving the shops or got any celebrations planned?0 -
missyg - My DS (aged 2) has a better social life than I do. He's invited to 2, yes 2 birthday parties tomorrow! My OH is off on the staff do tonight. So I'm stuck at home cleaning in preparation for hopefully putting up our tree tomorrow night.
As for my staff do, I've decided to give it a miss as it clashes with a night out organised by my friends. (got my priorities straight -I'll see all my colleagues every day in the new year when I get moved!).
Oh, here's a pic of my tree from last year (it's huge ! Its a triffid ! - I love it!) What does your trees look like?
Hopefully that's better and made everyone's screens go back to normal! Thanks Pet.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
i've got my gran coming to visit - which is extremely nervewracking as she is like the dementor mils. She's never visited before either so i've been cleaning for England. Then it's off to mummy's for pretend christmas. Just managed to put my paws on 2 gammon joints from work as wel, woo hoo! red days are here again. Anyone else doing anything nice this weekend?
xx0 -
My secret santas arrived:D . Ooh, the temptation to have a peek... but I dursn't.
Wow delly: what a triffid: mine's er..all of 12 inches tall, but then we live in a small space.
Back from specialist (sorry re pun)and he was great. And yes I do have a problem (I mean, I knew I had but I was scared he'd say it was nothing to make a fuss about and it would go away on it's own accord, but far from it). The bad news is he thinks it's a form of arthritus; the potential good news is this form of arthritus is listed as a potential side effect of the immune suppresant drugs I inject myself with every week and the treatment is .. to stop the injections. A lot of problems around doing that, but next step is to contact my consultant / and /poss also see a rheumatologist, have scans etc.
Feel positive that we know what the problem probably is and I was right not to try other treatments incase they made it worse (thanks to whoever told me NOT to try swimming before the problem was sussed). I've felt all along that the drugs might be to blame, and I hope they are, but coming off them isn't easy and a substsitute will have to be found. All complicated , but over all mood is relief at the mo.

P.S. has anyone else's screen just gone big, so they have to scroll miles across to read the messages?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi delly
You made a lovely job of your tree last year, what colour scheme do you have planned for this year? To reduce the size of you pics (if you want to that is! Sorry I don't mean to be bossy), try this site or this one. This one has some other features. They're all pretty basic but very easy to use, and ideal for using here :j. DD did ours last Sunday, I'll take a photo of it later on when I get back from the shops - I'm only going to build up my steps
.
I liked that snowball throwing smiley pic too, I think I used it on the 4th/5th not sure now, it's quite sweet. When I get the time I'm going to see if I can find out how to make them.
Right. To the shops I go...
xxxx
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Hi all, just a quickie from me, spent all my time catching up!!
BB, I thought it might be something like that with the chart but just thought I'd check.
Oi, I'm a hockey girl (well, pre-illness anyway) and I am lovely, even on the pitch!Used to captain my local team; fantastic game! I feel sorry for everyone who hates sport as a result of school - such a waste of a great opportunity to get everyone into something active they love; I wish PE teachers could be more creative (although I think it's getting better slowly). I could rant for ages on this topic...
Honey, congratulations on the pregnancy, I agree, you don't need to go anywhere so keep posting if you like.
Loads of other things to say but forgotten them as usual... Having a nice (ish) time in Birmingham - went for a meal at the wedding venue last night which was heavenly so looking forward to that. It is a little difficult being here though as my brother and I are living in v different worlds at the mo - he's putting up £80 a roll wallpaper  which is a week's money for me! Not to mention buying 2 new cars and 3 flats... Don't get me wrong, totally fair play to him, I just wish he could be a little more compassionate towards my situation. Anyway, I've made my New Year's resolution already! It's a simple one really - to get as well as possible. Of course that's broken down into lots of mini aims and how to achieve them (well, I had to make a list didn't I?:D ). It's not just the money but the self esteem of being financially independent and above all the fact that I love my job that's motivating me, along with the more obvious health and quality of life. I'm looking forward to it already!
As for the maintaining/putting the weight back on - IMHO, we need to find a plan for life, not just for weight loss (do you see what I've done there?:D ). The changes that we put in place need to be permanent, not just until we lose the weight. By this I don't mean following a plan forever, but adjusting our lifestyles to stay healthy. (I can't speak today, grr!) It makes complete sense to me that I will continue to weigh regularly so I can keep an eye on things and reign it back in if it starts creeping up (beyond an allowed margin). I believe permanent weight loss is as much about changing your mindset as the food you put into your body.
Oh, and I'm a daily weigher too, for all the (very good) reasons BB mentioned earlier. Off for a spot of clothes shopping with my mum:eek: ...now, where did I put that new mindset of mine?...
BB, that's great that you think you may have located the cause. I hope you can find a substitute for the jabs that will work. My screen has been massive for the last few pages, been doing my head in!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi everyone,
Hope all is well, oddly Im busier on a day off than on a work day
Weighed in this morning, had to do the Boots one as well as its Dietician as well next week. So the cringing when the machine says "Stand still and look forward" you can just feel the eyes looking at you from the queue of people. Anyways I lost 3lbWhich is sort of levelling off I guess as I think I gained a little a couple of weeks ago, (after Amsterdam?) then maintained. So Yes Im happy
There is a lot of similar sentiment around at them moment, like you missyg I hate shopping for clothes, I can be fussy, but I guess I dont dress like a smaller person either, the jeans Im in although bought 5 months ago are too big and I need a new, likewise, my holefree rugby shorts are too big, but I do prefer them slightly bigger (its helps scrumming!)
Tree looks lovely dellybelly, reason the page got wider though was your pic, but dont worry about itNice tigger btw
Our tree went up yesterday. All nice a pretty. Am I looking forward to Christmas?? Err not yet, but I will do.
Hope you dont mind the poll, I just thought it would be abit of fun, am changing it next week, but if you have any suggestions please let me know.
Pet, regarding the animated pics?? Are these gifs??? I have a couple that could be good?
Hope all goes well with the blood test Victory, regarding ebay, I have only had one probelm and that was an echeque!! but I dont sell on there often. But my camera just sold on there :T
Congratulations Honey, hope all goes well
I alway focus on the task in hand missyg, just not aggresive enoughand yes it is my second row's hand Not a hole in my shorts ladies
but if it was, it still was a cold day. I like those pics as been in the third team its not often the photographer takes our match pics, but that day the first and second team were playing away. I have others, including the 'thank the lord that match is over look' I have one more match tomorrow, then a few weeks off
Good luck with the Gran KPC, I am considering going to say hello to the ex-mil today?? Brave or stupid??
Ajax if your reading this hope the good lady is doing ok mate.
Bails enjoy the shopping, your mindset if with your confidence and next to your good looks
So today, because, I have had the pleaure of seeing what quite a few of you look like, here is a before and current pic of me. I know some of you may have seen the old sildeshow, but thats a few months out of date. There is almost two years between the pics. Hope I look like I talk and that I dont scare any young children that could be looking

Dellybelly: Gorgeous tree, looks lovelly. We havent put ours up yet (mum hates it up to early) but its getting put up on sunday which is grand. Im excited cos this is the first proper christmas with my boyfriend, god knows if we will go to his parents for christmas for an hour or so.
Birghtonbelle: Sorry to hear the news. At least there are ways of perhaps controlling it or improving it? Its good your pushing it forward, im turning into my 64 year old yorkshirian father and not wanting to cause a fuss or going to the doctor about my foot! (had an operation on it when i was 16, did nerve damage so its still painful and rubbish) but cest la vie. I think dellybellys photo has enlarged the forum a tad
katiepoppycat: i LOVE gamman joints. You work in a supermarket or something? Good luck with the grandma! as for my weekend, it consists of working saturday and having a nice day off sunday. My mother has bought a chinese meal for us to eat!!! blimming eck eh!! you up to anything?
Missyg: when children are concerned mummys are meant to be cuddly. My mother just would not be right if she didnt have big boobs for me to rest on, or a wobbly tummy (as a child). Dont get me wrong, my mum is a !!!!!!, but any thinner and it wouldnt be right.
petrichor: no problem :rotfl:0 -
Bloody hell suggs!

Defo look a nice size in your after pic. What size trousers did you take and do you now (if you dont mind me asking!)0
