No, no, no, NO ! It's 0273.219 - 0268.110 = 5.109 kWh. Five point one zero nine kWh used since yesterday. You're completely missing the point !3 -

We understand the display has changed - and the decimal point is confusing - but there is zero indication that the meter thinks you're using that much energy that you've calculated by ignoring the decimal point.
Call your supplier, tell them the meter has reset to 0, and they should send someone to investigate - But please don't panic. You're fine, nobody is going to make you pay for some incredible wild usage - but until this is fixed, you won't be able to submit a read.1 -
You've used 1983 kWh from 2 Feb to 31 Aug. The meter has been reset. There's just nothing to worry about although you may have to tell the supplier about the reset because your figures won't be accepted because they are LOWER than previously recorded.1

I sent a pic as they requested it and confirmed the excessive month. I hope I’m wrong but they have said it’s excessive so my reading was correct and I’m doing it the same way I always have done and they have been out to check it I will call them again and send another pic see what they say and the numbers are going up constantly0

Gerry I hope your right I’m crying right now thinking the worst0

Why it's showing it is the problem.0 -
You’ve used 5 units in a day, not 500, so you can relax. This will get sorted.
Out of interest do you have any photos of the meter readings from earlier in the year?

Add to that a probably poor software reset and that's a formula for confusion.Sadly this is just typical of the bodged Smart Meter programme, just the same as the way that they messed it up and had to upgrade from SMETS1 to SMETS2.Just relax. The red light isn't doing St. Vitus's dance, the correct figures (i.e with the decimal point) are all quite normal. All that it needs is a quick call or email to tell them of the reset. You shouldn't even get a silly bill because the lower figures will be rejected by the billing software and/or the The Mysterious Third Party.1

I will mention that when I call again with the days reading see what they say0
