Electricity meters (almost) always have five digits before the decimal, this one only has four. And if the meter has been in service for seven years, it should be reading 15-20000 units. We're now wondering why it isn't.

Someone else recently had a similar problem and thought it was following an OTA update:
Is there some rogue firmware out there?

Presumably it's gone round the clock?  Strange that a modern meter has only four digits before the decimal point, even rotary disk meters had five.

Okay, makes sense! Plus OP says they usually use 300 kwh a month... but that does mean that given we're under 300 it could have ticked over it's maximum back to 0 this month?

    From the other thread:
Dolor: I have not been providing erroneous readings and of course some readings were taken by official meter readers.  My last reading in August before anything changed was 14,947.
The only way I could have a reading as low as 194 kWh (which is what the home display is showing) would be if my meter somehow got reset.
This seems to be similar to what has happened here?

Ignore the first and last digits 27321-26810 = 511 for a day it’s not right as you can see from the posted readings to supplier it’s exactly they way it’s done and had been

Hey, look at what the decimal point is... your usage for the last day is correct at around 5kwh. That's normal.

What's happened appears to be your meter has been reset to 0 at some point, probably a little under a month ago. This is (almost certainly) not supposed to happen, and your supplier will work out why and maybe swap the meter out - but you really don't need to panic. You're not using 511kwh in a day.

    Hi,
did you see my close up of your second photie, I think you're missing the decimal point, between the 3 and the 2.
