Massive electric usage

It’s gone up since last pic then it was around 400 units if you take the one from yesterday that’s units used in one day at that time0

Not quite, it's just below the '1000'. One thousand flashes and you've used 1kWh costing you 20p or whatever you're paying on your tariff.QrizB said:
There will be a red light on your meter, in the middle of that circle you can see in the bottom-right corner of your second photo. It will be flashing. How many times does it flash in a minute? Or is it flashing too fast to count?elaines1 said:No I haven’t utility have confirmed my readings I do it every month and so far today 600 units used how !!0 -
I'll be honest it wasn't obvious to me what 'total act import' meant so I thought I'd ask to be sure (particularly given the supplier has supposedly confirmed excessive use).QrizB said:
But it's reading "total act import", this is the total not an individual register.Ultrasonic said:
Do you have an electricity supply with different meters for day and night (or similar)? If not then you can't have used 600 kWh today as your second photo show an all-time total of only 273 kWh.elaines1 said:No I haven’t utility have confirmed my readings I do it every month and so far today 600 units used how !!0 -
Red light flashed 8 x a min1

You've used 5.109kWh since yesterday's photo was taken. However, it's very strange that the meter is dated 2014. When was it installed?

That's great, thank you. 8 flashes a minute is 480 an hour, less than half a unit per hour. Whatever the problem is, it's not that you're using 600kWh units a day.elaines1 said:Red light flashed 8 x a min

Hi,OP, if you were giving your supplier a reading from this photie, what would it be?2 -
Is it a meter just for the garage? Dehumidifier, freezer, tubular heater, intruder alarm, PIR floodlight etc?0

I'm confused why people are still asking questions... it's so very clear that the meter is being misread? The photo between yesterday and today shows a difference of 5kwh... OP is misreading the meter and missing the decimal point.
Or am I missing something?!

Only that the usage is impossibly low if the meter has been there seven years and supplies the house.razord said:I'm confused why people are still asking questions... it's so very clear that the meter is being misread?
