The roast will be complete soon, I have decided to plate a couple of plates for folks, mum said she was happy to pay for dessert, which is profiteroles. I'll have mine then take over theirs, they won't be eating it straight away, so all good. The money spent on profiteroles will be paid back so I have added a NS day to pot, although I will wait until later to report it, just in case..bringing my total to 8 out of 14 and we are not quite half way through the month.

I got a little out of control last week and trying to reign it in this week, I need not to overspend anymore then I have to so I keep that pot as high as possible..I will contact the radiator man tomorrow and see when I can book him in if he is happy to put in a second hand radiator etc.

I now just need to keep a check of my non necessary spends..I.e there should be no more of them.

    O.A.O.

sometime later...Roast was another massive hit with myself...I am sure folks will love it, I seem to be getting good at these! can't face dessert right now, save for later!
  • I LOVE the bathroom @HotDog2020 It is beautiful!! I would choose something like that too, we have similar tastes
Hope your parents love their roast - you are very good making them one and bringing it over!

Just dropping in to say that I love the bathroom! (And also your lampshade from a few posts earlier!) The tiles, cupboard and plants just seem to work so well together - it's great!

I have to agree with you on the surgery. If you had it, with your love of chocolate, you probably would do more harm than good.

Ozempic may work but from what I've read it would be a very slow weight loss. That would probably turn you off from taking it.

Now, let me suggest a different route. Acupuncture. The Chinese have been using it for ages. It doesn't hurt according to my DH who has used it for severe back pain. My DD used it for severe migraines. It was the only thing that worked for her. Do you think it may be worth your looking into it?

  • Today I have spent some budgeted spending money on snacks, however I am allowing it as a NS day if I can avoid takeaway tonight, I did receive an unexpected £10 in my account today which I added to the spending money, yes I know I should have put it elsewhere, but I felt the need. Also I am completely off of Slimming world meals because of some bad experiences with the meals - gone off veg - it wasn't very nice, and now I feel a bit sick of them.

I have arranged an order for tomorrow morning delivery, I have ordered enough to last until the holiday, also I am allowing it as a budgeted spend as the money to pay for it will be out of budgeted money at the end of the week, it is a little more then it should be as there are extra meals however it fits within the budget still.

I have another man, actually a rather dishy man coming to inspect and quote me for the radiator replace tomorrow. I wanted to get the hoovering done again to clear the space so I can get the last bit of painting done and make the place a little more presentable, but too tired now. I have done some stuff to make it more presentable - I guess he is only looking at the radiator! I Wish it was more!! 😍😂😂. I think he has a GF, although nothing set in stone, he is going through a divorce. Anyhow I am not going to do anything other then show him what needs doing, radiator I mean!! 😂😂

I think I will see if there any yellow ticket items in local for dinner for tonight...best be off.

    O.A.O.

Sometime later...nothing I fancied in yellow tickets, so bought breaded chicken and salad and cream cake, I know naughty...So I have spent beyond budget. Today no NS.
haha this made me laugh...once I had a really cute plumber to my house. I went onto an online forum I used to be part of (maybe mums net can't remember which one now) and was saying how cute he was.........turned out to be one of the women's husbands in there :joy: thankfully she laughed and didn't see I was as threat that could have gone the other way easily lol

Can I have a pity party please? Today I had the first of 4 root canals. The worst pain was the needle, after that ok.
this evening the pain is bloody awful.

I have stage 3 breast cancer. Funny, it hardly bothers me. It's in the form of a tumor. I have to admit, I didn't seek help right away. I refused chemo since at 82 I didn't want to face my end leaning over a toilet spewing my guts out.

I opted for hormonal treatment which is working well. One pill a day.  It's really slow doing it's thing though. The tumor is about 4inches wide and 1 inch deep.

Strange, isn't it, I'm more annoyed about the root canal than about the cancer.

Only 3 more 1 hour root canals to go.  Hooray.
  • Oh no @evebeme ❤️ I'm sending you many virtual hugs and healing ❤️ I'm so sorry....I hope it's all over soon x

Thank you debtfreewannabe321 and  HotDog2020  for your hugs and kind thoughts.  I had a stiff drink and 2 Panadol last night before I went to bed, did some tossing and turning but eventually fell asleep around midnight.

Today I'm feeling more like my old self. Now I have until May 9 to enjoy life again until 2nd root canal. I promise no more whining.

  • My partner had some dental work done, aside from the bill which also made him wince he moaned ALOT about the pain. He was in agony for weeks during treatments so don't worry about sharing your woes, we all have up and down days @evebeme
@HotDog2020 how is the no buying snacks coming along today?  am having cravings today and am tempted to go out and buy something. If it wasn't for a cold windy wet day I think I might have already gone  so thank you rain ....I think it is because I feel tired so my body is just craving sugar.

I found a good thread for you if you are really serious about losing weight. I have no idea how to wean you off chocolate. You have refused surgery (can't blame you for that) but shrugged off other options. Did you check out acupuncture?  Anyway, here's the thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6516922/weight-loss-and-healthy-eating-for-a-debt-free-life#latest  Good luck, we're rooting for you.
