You have the right to be proud of yourself. Making sensible decisions and sticking to them. You're doing fine, give yourself a big pat on the back.

Well darn it. Lost the post I made 2 days ago. I know I posted it but it's not showing. Did I break a rule somewhere?
Anyway, glad to see you're hanging in and making progress. Good going.

Whew! I got tired just reading about the work you have planned. Good for you if you only do 20% of it.

You're doing very well on not giving way to temptation on the sweet stuff.

Morning Hotdog, I bet you can't wait for the carpet to be empty of the treadmill  fingers crossed it all goes to plan!
It takes approx 21 days to make or break a habit so if you can stick to your new frugalness for three weeks I reckon you can stick to it long term. Have you thought about checking marketplace or ebay for the lampshade? I like to buy something like the lampshade over take aways because I think the take away lasts an hour, if that, the lampshade will last a lifetime if you love it that much. It has helped me to frame it like that to restrain myself from silly purchases I live to regret. Hope you complete all your goals today

Good going on the treadmill, but what a hassle getting rid of it.

Sorry I haven't been posting much. Between a badly infected tooth and the usual fuss with my cancer, I've just had to concentrate on my health. After a course of antibiotics I get to have 4 sessions of root canal. Oh joy. lol Oh well, at over 80 I'm happy to still have my teeth.

I'm glad to see you are resisting the impulse to buy things, including the fish and chips, which are one of my favorite things to eat. I always make sure to get my fill of them when visiting England. They just aren't the same here downunder.

Keep your chin up and carry on, knowing I'm cheering for you.

  • I have moved the money to savings so That is £60 saved and shopping and petrol paid for wahoo! I am up to 4/5 NSs hoping for 5 today, I have a lovelly pizza for dinner tonight and the world is kind today.
Fab news on the NSDs I am also logging mine again as my spending was getting out of control. We are (almost) two weeks into our five week month and we are down to no pocket money left really. I am going to try and sell a few bits and keep that money to one side rather than sending to MOP now so we don't stitch ourselves up any further!
So glad the world is being kind to you

Thank you both for your kind comments. Overall, I can't complain about my health. I've lived a charmed life until a few months ago.Never ill until breast cancer came along. For the most part it is healing with no problems, just sometimes it likes to say 'hello, I'm still here'.

So glad things are still bopping along for you. Even if I don't post, please know you are always in my thoughts.

Good for you! So pleased to see that you are taking control over eating and at the same time making wise choices over spending money. Keep up the good work.

Woohoo! You've nailed it with your purchases. I have a tiny kitchen, wish it was big enough to put a dishwasher in. I do fine but DH is the pits when it it comes to dishes. I usually wind up redoing them.
