  • Morning Hotdog, if the door frame  is not in bad condition just give it a quick sand down and clean thoroughly. Shouldn't take too long to do seeing as though you're painting over it again.

On second hand purchases, we've bought kitchens from e bay we got a huge one for a house we did up for my dad, £500 plus hiring van and diesel £120 so 620 they gave us all the tiles too!
We'd had a quote for a new one and it had come in at over £12k so we saved loads. We've had second hand radiators, doors (every door in my house we replaced with second hand wood ones for free).
My first place to look when we are doing a room up is on FB MP or e bay to see what I can get cheaply 🤣
Hope you enjoy the new lamp shade you've ordered 🤗

Yay to both of you. You're making me feel very lazy. I really need to get motivated.

Good idea about the kitchen cabinets. Keep your eye out, never can tell when something good will turn up.

  • Don't beat yourself up over what's done, today's a new day. I have blown my budget too in as much as I had no budget for takeout and got one anyway 🤣 and then I only had a set amount put aside for DIY and had to spend more than that yesterday. Nevermind...we can but keep trying 😊 well done on all the DIY you've got done! The hard part I've noticed is actually starting....once you get going the momentum builds and before you know it the job is done 😁

You may very well be right on the emotional hunger. I'm afraid I have no idea on how to solve that particular problem.

Do you have friends in real life? Perhaps that's part of the problem. I'm wracking my brain to figure out how I can help you. I've never had a problem with my weight. Could always eat like a horse and never gain weight. Heck, I never even wear a bra so I was surprised when one boob started growing. Hello breast cancer.

Regardless of whether you have real life friends, you certainly have 2 on here .debtfreewannabe321 and myself. Take care sweetie, we're rooting for you.

  • You're doing amazing! Can't wait to see a picture of the finished results of all your hard work!
Look at your assets and holidays like this...if you have to spend your money on the holiday and it leaves you with little savings at least it isn't going onto a CC debt? That's how I'm trying to look at my recent spendy days at least it's not on the overdraft like it would have been six months ago!

Beautiful! You have very good taste. Sometimes a bold pattern doesn't work in a small space but you nailed it.
