We had a great time, but the weather was dreadful. It rained the whole time and was very overcast. We went in the car! We still managed to enjoy ourselves despite the weather.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Met friends for coffee and toasted teacake breakfast this morning.
On way home stopped off and got some veggies.
This afternoon we are playing board games.
Weather is still dreadful. DS may be coming home this weekend, so his room is now ready for him if he does.
Breakfast was the teacake, lunch sausage roll which I picked up at the bakers and tonight its jacket spud with beans and cheese.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Up early this morning and out to the library to take books pack and pick up some more I had ordered. Then onto a test drive of an electric car - was fabulous and I loved it, BUT it is not for us at the moment as we live in a remote part of the country and I would have that dreadful range anxiety! Our recent trip to Dartmoor took us just over 2 hours - with the electric car we would have had to find somewhere to charge it and that would have added at least another hour to the journey. As a matter of interest DH looked up electric charging points - there are none in our village (Iknow we wouldn't need to charge in our village as we live here, but what if we travelled to a similar village and needed to charge? I think if we lived in a town it would be perfect.
This afternoon we went to the beer festival which is on all weekend. We just had soft drinks as we need to pick DS up in about 20 mins time! So we are out late tonight.
Breakfast was porridge with banana, lunch home made quiche with some oven chips and salad. we had some loaded nachoes at the pub for tea.Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -
Just out of interest how would you finance the purchase of the car? Just wondering as another car purchase is something I am considering in the next year or two. Looking at the options available.0

Busy day today. Sun was shining this morning so we hopped on the motorbike and went out for a ride – we also had lunch out which was lovely.
Came back and I baked carrot cake and some soda bread – I had carrots to use up and also buttermilk.
Breakfast was pancakes (mixture left over from weekend), lunch out I had quiche and salad and tonight it’s the remains of home made Southern fried chicken which we will have with some of the soda bread.

Sounds like a perfect day. Sun seems to be in and out here, can't make its mind up. Looks like better weather by Wednesday though.Making the debt go down and savings go up

NSD today.
I made a batch of carrot soup - using up last of the carrots, last of the broad beans from the garden and half a manky pepper I found in the back of the fridge! Should last us at least 4 days.
A bit of housework done and some more of the free OU course.
This afternoon my friend is coming round for sewing and gossip - and some carrot cake.
Breakfast was porridge with some honey, lunch carrot soup with some of the soda bread and tonight its jacket potatoes, beans and cheese - so a meat free day.
Horrible and foggy today.

Brilliant sunshine first thing. We had breakfast outside and I put the washing machine on. Half an hour later the mist rolled in and has stayed! Washing is drying inside on the horses.
DH did managed to mow the lawn and I did quite a bit of weeding and tidying up.
Breakfast was bacon buttie for DH and scrambled egg for me. Lunch was soup and bread and tonight its burgers (no buns) with onions, carrot and swede mash and beans and broccoli.
I managed to finish the other free OU course I was doing.
