Thanks for the birthday wishes.
DS' last day with us today - he goes back tomorrow. We had pancakes for breakfast and then went to the seal sanctuary which made a cheap outing as only paid for DS' ticket as we reused the ones we had bought the week before. Weather dreadful, mist and drizzle rain, but we managed to eat our tuna roll picnic lunch during a dry spell. Watched the seals being fed and it brought back some nice memories for DS.
We came home via a farm and had ice cream and looked at the pigs and ducks.
Afternoon spent drinking tea and eating the rest of my birthday cake - its all gone now.
Tonight its home made lasagne and salad.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
DS went back today so we were up earlish to get him to the station. We then called in at a big Tesco and I got some new tupperware and a Slimming World Magazine. I have made the decision to join, but am waiting till after our holiday - week after next we are off for 10 days to Oxford and Devon.
The Magazine had lots of recipes in it food we like to eat. As you know I prefer batch cooking and freezing portions, so I now feel quite organised to be able to do this with SW. I have done an online shop which will be delivered on Friday, so next week will do some batch cooking so that when I get back from hols I can hit the ground running. I have needed to lose weight for years. DH could also do with losing a few pounds, so we will both benefit hopefully.
Breakfast was a banana for me as I was worrying about getting DS off to the train (he had toast), lunch was chicken sandwich and tonight its the last of the lasagne leftover from last night with salad.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Was only saying to DH the other day I must buy some new tupperware type containers so I can do plenty of batch baking. I seem to be getting short of good ones.
Oxford & Devon sounds like a good combinationMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Such awful weather – fog horn going non-stop, very misty/foggy and rain, rain, rain. However, makes for an NSD!
After breakfast we sorted our wardrobes/clothes out. Our holiday in Devon requires a bit of dressing up! It’s a literary festival we attend every year. 1920's style dressing - luckily we both bought clothes over the years so have plenty to wear! So, clothes sorted and those that need it have been washed – having to dry inside on horses but at least we have them now organised.
A couple of bits pulled out and put into the charity bag.
One of my birthday presents was a little model detective agency, I started it last week and did a bit more on that today.
Also, more cross stitching for carpets for the dolls house
Meal planning done for next week.
Breakfast was overnight oats – first time I’ve done them and really liked them – I used frozen berries and that gave a nice sharp taste to them. Lunch was tuna salad and tonight we are having bangers with fried onions and carrot and swede mash.

Yesterday weather much better so washing put out on the line to finish drying. Then I dropped DH off to the museum site, then onto town where I gave a bag into the chazzer. After that I met with a friend for coffee. Picked DH up on my way home.
A bit of housework stuff done while waiting for the online delivery. Once that arrived and put away we went out to the village for a walk and dropped into the pub for a couple of drinks - was so nice we sat outside in the beer garden.
Breakfast was toast, lunch tuna salad and tea was scampi, oven chips and peas.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
A spendy day today. First off we went to Dobbies and had two cooked breakfast for £14 with our two free hot drinks. Afterwards off to M&S to get DH some socks and shoes - I also got socks and a dress plus top and trousers - in my defence its the first spending splurge on clothes I've had in a year.
Then called in at a farm shop to get some bread flour.
Back home, some gardening done and then a walk around the village - stopped off to talk to neighbours who gave us some mushrooms, then another neighbour who gave us a couple of jigsaws!
As we had the cooked breakfast we did not have lunch. Just had dinner of jacket spuds, I had the rest of some tuna and cheese and DH had the mushrooms cooked with some yoghurt and added cheese on top. Tea was a usey up tea - to use up some bits and bobs as we are away on Saturday.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
A surpise today - I put a pair of motorcyle boots up on Vinted about 3 months ago and promptly forgot about them. Someone bought them today so that is £20 in my pocket.
We visited an NT property and hoovered and cleaned out the car.
Breakfast was drop scones with yoggie and banana, lunch tuna sandwich and tonight one of those Sainsbogs Indian ready meal bags.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
