NSD 1/10
A bit of a spendy weekend, time with friends and the pub etc.
Today an NSD.
Motorhome is now all ready for sale and is being collected on 14th all being well – fingers crossed. I will update when it happens.
Breakfast was porridge with berries, lunch tuna salad and dinner tonight is jacket spuds with beans and cheese.
Weather very mixed today, very overcast with a couple of flashes of the sun. Bed changed but no washing done.

Well someone looked at the motorhome yesterday and offered us a price which we rejected. He then phoned an hour later with a revised price which we again rejected. He phoned first thing with the price we wanted and we accepted. Money transferred then he came and collected it. So its is now gone. I contacted the other party and paid them back their deposit. I feel a lot happier as the other party had not even seen the motorhome and I was sure they would drop the price once they had seen it.
Most of the day spent cancelling insurances etc and sorting out paperwork.
DH is happy as there is enough for him to upgrade his bike and we have also paid off the credit cards (yay).
A new budget is now in place.
I did pop out to get a few bits as we have friends coming round for a bbq tomorrow.
Breakfast was scrambled egg baps and dinner tonight will be chicken kiev with potatoes and veggies.

This all sounds great mrs p 😼👍
You’ve paid off the credit cards ?!? Wow!
great achievement!Initially when I saw your posts regarding selling the motor home, I wasn’t so sure that it was the right thing to do as you have spent a lot of time in it going about your business.Having sad that , you seem happy , and clearing the credit cards from the proceeds of the sale makes sound senseOne other thing I mentioned ages ago, don’t forget to reduce your limits on the cards asap !I’ll leave it there ..😼1 -
Thank you AC - yes I am definitely going to take your advice and reduce the limits on the cards. I am also determined not go get stuck on that particular wheel again - hence I will keep myself on track by using this diary. Having to admit on here that I used the card again is something that I don't want to be doing!
We have been talking for a year regarding the motorhome. What with the clean air zones around various cities and then the rising cost of diesel and the rising cost of campsites. We don;t use it to travel abroad, so just this country and it is getting very expensive and difficult to book campsites. Taking all that cost into account, plus the monthly/yearly costs of the motorhome means now we can have shorter breaks using the car or motorbike. That's the idea anyway.
Also, since lockdown we have grown back in love with where we live - its a great part of Cornwall, we actually live in a holiday destination, so making more of where we live now, rather than just taking it for granted.Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -

I haven’t updated for a few days but here are the things I’ve been busy with:
· Reduced credit limit from £10k to £5k on credit card (thanks for the tip AC)
· Cancelled a couple of yearly DD’s associated with the motorhome
· Sorted out insurance/tax on motorhome
· Had my hair cut!
· Gardening
· Sewing
· Knitting
· Meal planning
· Watching Wimbledon
Had friends round for a BBQ and we were able to sit outside
Breakfast today was porridge and toast, so we will skip lunch and have some southern fried chicken and salad later
Very hot here today

NSD 2/10
A lovely day yesterday (also an NSD). Our friends invited us out on their boat, we found a secluded beach and had a bbq and a lovely swim in the sea.
Today we had toast for breakfast, skipped lunch and this afternoon we will have courgette and onion tart (made using courgettes from the garden) and salad.
I hate to say this, but its too hot for me – I’m struggling to sleep at night even with all the windows open.

Glad you had a good day yesterday mrs p
As forcast , today is the hottest day so far 🥵. Having said that, it will be like this for another 9/10 days 🙀. So far where I am, only one bad night sleeping . It seems the nighttime temps are manageable -for now ! I'm unenthusiastic about doing anything ,and have had my second shower of the day an hour ago 🚿

This morning spent making some courgette loaf cakes, one for the freezer and one for next door neighbour.
Too hot really for anything else.
Tonight we go to steak night at the local pub.
