Well we are back. We had a lovely holiday - the weather was almost too hot! We had rain on our journey home, but otherwise the weather was fab.
I didn't manage any NSDs.
Now back to earth with the washing etc.,Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -
Glad you had a nice time mrs p 😼
You can catch up with the NSD’s in due course I’m sure ..1 -

Aiming for 10 NSDs this month (July).
DH and I have had a really good chat and the upshot is we have decided to sell our motorhome. We have had 10 years of motorhoming and have decided to go back to our first love which is touring around on the motorbike. Its quite a big motorhome and just to keep it on the drive its around £100 per month with insurance and tax etc. That is without MOT, service and other sundry costs. So – its up for sale so hopefully we will have some interest.
DH has always had motorbikes – he has 4. One is the touring one and the other three are vintage type ones (he won’t part with them at the moment). He would like to update the touring one and has gone all out to tart up the motorhome in the hopes of getting as much as we can and perhaps putting that towards a new bike – however, I am not sure we will get enough for him to do that. We will see.
In other news, we went out to a lovely café this morning for brunch, the afternoon has been taken up with the motorhome. I have also made some beetroot cakes (like carrot cake), using two beetroots form the garden, though I say it myself they are delicious. I used a recipe I found on Riverford website.
Tonight we are having veggie stir fry for dinner.
Weather has been really nice and sunny today, even though we had been promised rain.

Sorry to hear you've decided to give up your motorhome. We really love ours but had a small accident, fortunately no-one hurt, just the motorhome! It's still stuck in France waiting for it to be repatriated and then the insurance company will arrange for it to be assessed and then decide what will happen. Really hoping they don't write it off as we'll obviously not get enough for it to get another one with prices the way they are.
Hope you get a good price for yours and you can upgrade your touring bike.

Joedenise, sorry to hear you had an accident We have broken down a few times in this country and despite having the RAC and the special service specifically for motorhomes its very frustrating as they don't seem to recognise that a big motorhome needs a big trailer!Debt free and Keeping on Track1

Today did some food shopping. Hopefully that is now the bulk of it done for this month – other than fresh fruit and veggies.
Breakfast was porridge with berries, lunch we had a toasted teacake at the garden centre café. Tonight is fish and oven chips with salad.
We have had an offer on the motorhome and a deposit has been paid. Just waiting to hear when they are coming to view and pick it up. Its from a dealer and we are pleased with the offer – actually we were very surprised! Hopefully they don’t knock anything off when they see it. To that end, DH is busy tarting it up – we went to Halfords and he bought some paint to touch it up in parts.
Still clearing stuff out of the motorhome – can’t believe we had so much stuff in there.
Washing done and line drying.
Sorting out paperwork for the literary Festival we attend each September. Tickets are booked as is hotel.
Just about to watch a bit of the tennis.

Hope the sale goes OK but suspect the dealer will try to knock some off once he sees it. It's what happened to us with a caravan a couple of years ago.1

We live in a remote part of the country - so am hoping that by the time the dealer has got down to us, he won't want to leave empty handed!Debt free and Keeping on Track0
