Met some friends for lunch today – made use of the journey and visited a couple of charity shops and the gardening centre. My friend had a voucher for 40% off the meal.
No breakfast as we were having lunch out, and I don’t think we’ll have dinner tonight, perhaps just a piece of cake.
When we got back DH mowed the lawn as we are promised rain tomorrow.

A lovely weekend weather wise and every other wise!
Today some friends came over for coffee and cake, was so nice and sunny and we were able to sit out in the garden. I didn’t have breakfast as I had the coffee and cake instead, late lunch of fresh pasta, sausages and carbonara sauce. Tea tonight will be ham and egg salad.
This afternoon I made some cakes – one for the next door neighbour as over the last few days he has given me 20 eggs (he works on a farm). After that we went for a ride on DH’s motorbike.

This afternoon I’ve got a check up. Whilst out I’ll pick up the final bits and pieces for our holidays.
Final check of budget for holiday and meal planning for holiday completed.
Holiday washing done and on the line drying.
Breakfast was eggs benedict and dinner is shepherds pie – we’ll skip lunch as we had a bigger breakfast and we are out and about.

Another fantastic day weather wise. I’ve changed the beds and washed and line dried the sheets. Spent a lot of time sitting in the garden reading so a nice lazy type day.
Breakfast was porridge and berries, lunch ham salad and dinner the last of the cottage pie – all eaten outside.

Had our breakfast of crumpets and jam in the garden. Lunch we had sausages cooked on the BBQ with salad and rolls. Dinner tonight, well, we got sidetracked and ended up at the local and had some wine and then to the chippy where we got spring roll and chips.
Today I made some bread rolls which I have frozen ready for our holidays, I also made snickerdoodle biscuits – they are now packed in the motorhome ready.
Planted out my turnips in the veg patch. Our neighbour is kindly going to water the veggies while we are away.

Busy morning getting everything packed and ready for our holidays. Motorhome now packed with clothes and food and drink.
This afternoon we saw Jurassic World at the cinema. We are members of the local cinema which means we get half price entry every day, plus two for one on Mondays. Also, when the card is renewed you get two free tickets, so we used these.
Breakfast was toast, lunch ham salad and tonight its spinach and lentil pie with swede (despite the heat)!
Signing off now for almost two weeks. Am aiming for a couple of NSDs whilst we are away – would be really good if I could achieve this.
