I've only ever visited lands End the once but I did do it "properly" you might say - it was at the end of a charity road rally where we'd driven down from John O Groats! We arrived to all the bells and whistles you might expect, got fed the most delicious buffet, and then stayed overnight in the hotel before having our photos etc with the sign all made up with details of the event the following morning. So yes - I am officially an "end to ender"!

I went to sennen many many years ago, which I think is about 10 miles away from lands end . There was a place nearby called mouse hole 🐭🐁. I think it's pronounced muzzle or something similar . All very nice .
My claim to fame I guess 😼

Yes Sennen Cove is not far from Lands End - less than 10 miles I would say.  Yes, Mousehole is a fishing village and they call is Muzzle.

Went to the cinema this afternoon to see the Downton Abbey film.  Very enjoyable with lots of laughs and a few tears at the end.

Porridge and berries for breakfast, lunch was egg, chips and beans and our supper after the film was tuna sandwiches and salad.

I was supposed to have a tooth extracted today at 8am.  I chatted with the dentist beforehand as I don’t have any pain.  I have several teeth that aren’t going to last.  He said I could go down the route of lots of little appointments and having them out, or have them out all together with sedation.  Then once that has healed decide on implants (I already have one) or bridges, plates etc.  He said I may not need to have this done for 5 months or could be 5 years.  I have decided to wait.  I felt really nervous and unhappy about today, have had it done before, but just felt unsure today.  I think I would rather have it done in one fell swoop – and on my terms when I’m ready not just because I’m in pain.  Gives me a chance to get my head round it and to start saving.

So, after that DH took me for breakfast as it was such a relief.  I’m now back home and am batch cooking shepherd’s pie.  One for tonight, rest for the freezer.  I always add frozen veggies to the mixture and then that makes it a one pot meal.

This afternoon I’m off to my friends for our knit and natter session.

No lunch as we had the cooked breakfast.

Goodness absolutely yes - if the tooth isn't causing you pain, isn't obviously infected, and is still functioning, hang onto it for as long as you can! Good choice, I'd say! It's great that your dentist was prepared to have a frank and honest conversation with you about it as well.

Thanks for that EH, yes, I do want to hang on to my own teeth as long as I possible can!  The dentist had a good look around and said it all looked healthy, no inflammation and no sign of infection.

I've been going to him for almost 20 years now and have suffered a great deal with my teeth, so he knows me and my teeth (or lack of) really well.  He is a private dentist as I couldn't get NHS at the time, but I am grateful for him and his honesty.

Sorry to hear of your dental woes mrs p , and expenses🙀
It's enough to make anybody down in the mouth. I'm still annoyed about having implants put in about 4 years ago. 2 years later they broke! I now have a plate , with news that one of the teeth next to them is not great at the moment so I'm expecting bad news in the not too distant 😾
I'd say knowing a dentist as long as you have is a rarity to say the least .
When living in londonistan , there were so many who moved/ merged/ closed down.

    I'll leave it there ..
