Very dull today, it rained overnight, but no rain during the day as yet.
Walked down to the village surgery to collect my prescription.
Breakfast was toast, lunch potato waffles and dinner tonight is egg fried rice, using up the rest of the chicken.
Re-organised my craft room and made a start on the tidying up. I have half a bag of “stuff” for the charity shop.

Today its just a matter of making sure I’ve packed everything we are off first thing tomorrow morning.
I am making bacon butties later on and we will take them with us and stop off halfway for breakfast with drinks from our flasks.
I’ve set us a budget for this holiday and we intend to stick to it!
Going to spend some time with my friend this afternoon. Weather lovely and sunny but extremely windy. I have put a couple of bits on the line – hopefully they won’t end up in next door’s garden.
I’ll be back with updates in a few days time.

Well we are back. We had a lovely holiday in the motorhome. The weather was kind to us, we did a lot of walking and cycling. We didn’t blow the budget – BUT – on the way home we had a blow out of a tyre. Luckily we are OK but it was a horrible shock when it happened. The RAC called a tyre company and they were able to fix it on the roadside – we are now £200 worse off.
However, a lot of damage was done as part of the tyre flapped off like a flag and was spinning around and it has damaged the covers on the outside which popped off – DH managed to save them and also an inside cupboard and some of the wiring loom. DH is confident he can fix it all himself.
I am so disappointed as the motorhome has cost us a lot with various repairs over the last few months.
I must draw a line under it for now until DH has managed to see if he can fix it.
We have plans to go away in June, we may postpone, or condense the holiday – we were due to go away for 3 weeks. We will think about our options over the next week.
I am going to aim for 14 NSDs this month.
Breakfast was bacon buttie and tea in the motorhome before we left for our journey home. Lunch when we got home was some left over sausage rolls and crisps. Dinner tonight was some home made quiche warmed up and served with veggies and potato croquets.
I have had my results back from the hospital and I have the all clear and they don’t need to see me again. So after a dreadful journey home, it was fantastic to get that letter in the post.

Glad you had a nice time away ,and that you had good news on your return mrs p 😼
As for the damage , your other half sounds like he'll do a good job on the van .🤞you can stick to your original plans .That's the thing with cars and vans in terms of maintenance , many say it's like having another house.

Today I’ve:
Made biscuits
Made some tortilla wraps
Checked banking
Hoovered downstairs
Last night when I was flossing my teeth one of my crowns popped out – luckily I was able to save it. I’ve got an appointment 8.30 Monday morning to have it put back in – I’m hoping it won’t cost too much. Would have been a lot worse financially if I had lost the crown.
Breakfast was toast, lunch hard boiled egg salad and tea tonight is fish finger wraps and salad with wedges (using the wraps I made earlier).
Weather was horrid this morning, rainy and misty. It has cleared up a bit now and there is some blue sky peeping out – if it gets a bit better I’ll go for a walk.
