Made some fairy cakes and iced them. Some for us and some for next door. The next door neighbour very kindly put a couple of slates back onto our roof for us, so the cakes are payment.
Walked to the Dr. to collect my prescription – was bitterly cold with a biting wind.
Breakfast was porridge with banana, lunch ham sandwich and crisps and dinner tonight will be leek in cheese sauce pancakes with some bacon crisped over the top and veggies.

Again very cold today and damp and drizzly. I was going to go for a walk, but I won’t!
Some washing done and some housework.
Breakfast was muffin, lunch will be poached egg and dinner tonight is jacket spud with chill bulked out with extra veggies.

Home insurance is due next month, so just did a bit of research on confused.com. I’ll be ready when the renewal drops through the door.
Now just waiting to hear how much the council tax has gone up.
No NSD as I bought some wool and double pointed needles off Amazon – I want to try to knit socks. I priced it up from Hobbycraft and was a lot more expensive, plus it would involve a round trip of 48 miles to Hobbycraft not to mention being swayed to spend more when I see what they have – so a bargain – or that’s what I am telling myself. Will arrive on Friday.
Breakfast was muffin, lunch toasted sandwiches and later we'll have pea soup.

All good mrs p😼
Regarding the Home insurance, it seems that you only get new quote within 2 weeks or so before renewal is due .
I had a couple of vultures posting to me last month . My expiry date is the 31st of this month .Seeing that the increase over the last 2 years was £10 I just carried on with the same company .If that is the case this year, I’ll do the same again ,2 -

Not feeling too good today. Started with a sore throat and ear ache last night. Today I just feel groggy and fluey. I did a covid test and it was negative, so just a bad cold.
Haven’t really done too much, spent time snuggled up with a hottie and quilt watching TV.
Breakfast was toasted muffin, lunch soup and dinner tonight is fishcake, chips and beans – so comfort food.
I did do a bit of personal banking first thing and moved some savings around.

Feeling so much better today, sore throat and aches and pains have all gone. I think I must have had what I call “one of those 24 hour things”.
Did some sewing, baked a cake and a bit of housework. Weather really nice and sunny here today so I’m going for a walk around the village.
Breakfast was toasted muffin, lunch soup and dinner tonight is takeaway fish and chips (we know how to push that boat out)! So, no NSD today.
Oh and Gardners World is back on TV tonight, so all is right with the world - I love a bit of Monty and his dogs

Just popping in to say ‘ohh fish and chips’ 😋
I haven’t had any for ages. Our local chippy (11 mile drive) stopped opening lunchtimes and then had a really small evening opening window. 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Spent the morning sewing and the afternoon knitting and listening to audio books.
Breakfast was toasted muffin, lunch jacket spud with tuna may and tea tonight is chicken curry.

A lovely sunny day here today. DH has done lots of gardening, prepping the veggie patch ready etc.,
I have done lots of batch baking, muffins, sausage rolls and scones.
Last night the door handle from the kitchen to the garden snapped off – no idea how that happened. Today, DH managed to fix it using an old handle he had in the garage.
Brunch was oatcakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, dinner later will be spinach and lentil pie with veggies.
