Coupon-mad said:HumberAdam said:well this is very confusing. I have now received a letter from DCB Legal saying their client intends to proceed with the claim.
attached is a Directions Questionnaire which I will ignore as per instructions on beginner's page.
I think this is an underhanded trick as they sent me an email (as my above post) saying they have closed the file on the 2nd November and on the 8th November they write a letter saying they are going ahead with the claim. Do they hope people will throw away their paperwork so they will be caught unawares? I don't get this.
There's only one PCN but seems there are more than one DCBL!...
It appears that DCB Legal are different to DCBL who told me they were not instructed on recovering the outstanding balance. DCB Legal are proceeding with the claim.
They are obviously arms of the same body but set out to confuse the individuals like me. Luckily I haven't thrown away anything when I had the first message that they were not continuing with the claim but I suspect there will be others who may, and that I find quite underhanded.
I wonder if there's a way of building that into my WS?

Morning everyone
Just filling my N180 Directions Questionnaire and wondered if I "have to" put my phone numbers on there?
I've put my full address and email but I don't want the other side having my phone number to be pestered with nusance calls.
Any ideas?

Another update;
Just had the court date for the end of Feb, but it says "Given the current pandemic, the District Judge proposes to dispose of the claim without a hearing - that is on the papers alone. This can only be done if both parties agree".
Is this something I should agree to? or are there any adventages/disadvantages of being there in person?
thanks for everyone's advice in advance0 -
