Poor sleep here as well, OH wanted to play eye spy at 2am, in the dark!! not too sure how that would have worked, I told him to go to sleep.Off to fetch some rolls of turf, as I want to make the wild flower garden a little smaller, someone locally has some left over from a job at a bargain price, so it would be rude not to accept.Wm x 1 done out on whirly, it is going to be fine and sunny here this morning, then cloud up and possibly rain pm.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all, from where it is persistently raining, and forecast to be so for the whole day. Only DH would have thought it might be sunny and he could cut the hedge…You flyladies are a generous lot - apart from checking in briefly a couple of times to make sure the biscuits were topped up, I kept out of the WAC pretty much all night, obviously as there was no space 😉. Slept in until 8am.
Wm on, washing will have to dry inside (I have never possessed a TD), HHI cleared. Inspired by ASB, I have chopped a few potatoes which I damaged when I dug them, an onion and opened a tin of creamed sweetcorn which DH bought by accident a while ago, thrown it all in the sc, and am calling it frugal chowder, for today’s lunch. It feels like a soup day. DH came home from the village shop with a few cooking apples which someone had left outside, free to takers. Apple crumble might beckon at some point this weekend.
My job this morning is to work out what shelves etc are needed to fit in the nearly decorated small bedroom / study. Then starts the “negotiation” on how much (little) DH can jam back in there. I’ll let him think it is negotiation, anyway… 🤣.
Have a good day all. Hugs all round, there should be some sticks and spoons in the jar by the door xx8 -

Hi all
Sorry for those friends in the WAC, but I slept like the dead last night. Woke up a 6.30am to check DS had gone to work after he stayed over last night, which was completely unnecessary because his bed was made and the car had gone. Then slept until 8am and could have slept for longer.
Valli my DH does things like that. He was waffling on about the HGV drivers shortage in bed the other night and apparently I went to sleep half way through. I think his ramblings actually sent me to sleep.
Ouch ASB not something I have experienced thankfully, hope things are improving!
DH is planning his veg garden for next year. He is talking about random things like celariac and okra which stresses me because I will have to find things to make these things into. I would rather he just stuck to things like spinach, kale, salad leaves, green beans and courgettes, which do well and I can actually use.
Food cupboard sorted, load of washing done, now over the airer because its raining. General tidy around and weights class done. Got to drop a birthday present off this afternoon, have also got a grocery shop coming.9 -
Library, butchers and green grocers visited.
Fire lit, lunch eaten, kids watching a film x9 -
Washing back in 80% dry, now on new clothes airier in the conservatory.Managed to get 3 rolls of turf down before the rain came, including prep of the ground which is the hardest and longest part, but it is all in the prep work. More prep work to do, but it is chucking it down, so other turfs will just have to stayed rolled up until tomorrowBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hello. No book reading was done this morning because I had forgotten how long it takes to get ready to go out-out. Been to a fantastic matinee show. Now to hope I haven't brought Covid home with me.Spend less now, work less later.8

Sorted my friends knitting while at musical theatre.Dot LOVED ballet.. and complained she didn't have the correct uniform.. but everyone LOVED her gold ballet shoes (Which she took off midway through the lesson)
Squeak was asked to read a bit of script or sing a part of a song and she did her mute thing and the teacher panicked lol.. They are aware she has selective mutism.. it is much better than it was at easter.
We have fabian tonight so I have put 5 children to bed by myself.. and OH's boss just asked him if he would swap one of his half shifts with his full day friday so he could spend the day with his wife and 2 small children when OH hasn't spent any time with ours for days.. and I have done every bedtime for days and he won't be here until Friday to help.. so I am afraid I became most unhappy and had a bit of a rant.. How dare they think it is ok to keep my husband away from his children and demand time with their own who they dump on anyone who will have them at the drop of a hat.. I think I am allowed to be a little bit annoyed by that.. it may be perks of being the boss but it's always OH who gets the poopy end of these deals. Friday we had planned to go check on OH's mother as it is his first day off where we could manage it. The bigger ones said they would do the school pick up and we would take Squeak with us.

Morning all
The stove was still glowing from yesterday so I’ve got it going again - it’s 13 degrees in our living room!
A big walk is on the cards this morning, followed by a roast dinner. The meat is in the slow cooker already so the oven doesn’t need to be on for hours.
Will pop back later take care all
Xx
