I’ve been on the receiving end of Flylady love. From a lovely, generous and thoughtful Flylady, who has more than enough on her plate, but still thought of me ❤️ XxLots of jobs done today, but it doesn’t look like it. Half a dozen jars of pickles made, various veg prepped, dinner for tomorrow prepped (am trusting DH with the sc, I may regret this), remains of Sunday’s grocery shop put away, upstairs dusted and vacuumed. Even the tops of the wardrobes 😇.It’s been torrential and blowing a gale here this evening. It was even pretty dark by 5.30pm. Truly miserable.
DD rang earlier, the first time that I have actually spoken to her since she left. I have a list of things to give to her friend for her to drop off - apparently seeing your mum after a couple of weeks doesn’t feature in her plans. I should be glad, I suppose.
YL, I hope your DH gets to see someone tomorrow to see what is wrong. As for the new light - you do work so hard and seem to do very little just for you. It would be a shame to miss your cycling x9 -
And it's the (first) weekend (of the two I'll have this week). And boy does Villa Valli need some TLC. I have left the patio door cracked open (ie open a little bit) because we have another mouse brought in by Poppy and 'put down' so it ran off, of course. I have lots to do, car going for MoT and new tyres, probably. WM filled with bedding from DD's room and a few bits. Too tired fo4 much tonight, was out almost 12 hours.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning all,
Woken by DS at 5.30am. I have fed the chickens, set the WM going, read the meters and made a cuppa. DS has an apple and some milk. I have written a long, but doable, list for today. DD wants to go to youth club tonight so we will all be later to bed than normal (it finishes at 8pm then we have the walk home etc).
Will pop back in later xx9 -
I'm up but it's dark and raining and feels like winter. Not feeling hugely motivated but never mind. I need to wait in for a delivery, my new (reconditioned) laptop. I should be excited to have it as the screen on the current one only works at a few selected angles and is very very slow, but I'm not.
Bed made, clothes picked up
OH unloaded DW
Kitchen tidied
Coffee time whilst I try and find some motivation to do something, anything.9 -
Morning all. In bed with a coffee. DD's bedding has gone through WM with a few extra bits, forecast for today is sunshine so I'm hoping to get it dry. Car in at 10; should get stuff done before then.
I really need to write a list, as I have things I must do.
And I need to crack on with knitting.

Morning all xx
No WAC last night - a day at the paid stuff wears me out. Had the flu jab at work yesterday. Covid booster to be booked for next week when the appointments become available.
I've started to read the Frugal and Prepping threads - so instead of turning on the heating last night I put my slippers on, and I brought a cardigan down but didn't need it. After cooking my pizza I left the (electric) oven door open to let the residual heat into the kitchen.
Oops better go to work.
Have a good day.

DS1 is 30 today!!! I've never had a 30 year old before!!
How the heck did that even happen?? I wish I could go back and do it all again, I loved it so much.. even the really hard * I wish I had never been born* moments... but anyway... another 25 years before Twinkle gets there.. but it is really hard seeing them struggle as grown ups when a hug won't just make it better.
Today OH is off so he has a list.. cobwebs, cat trays and apply for a job or 3..
Squeak has maths to finish this morning, her usual 15 minutes of TTRS (Times Table practice) and spellings to learn for tomorrows spelling test.. her proper maths class at 11. After lunch possibly swimming or skateboarding and some language practice. Her favourite class *Feel Good Club* is at 6. She has some english work to catch up and some reading to do for her eng lit class.. She has some gardenning to do after thatI am a slave driver.
I will no doubt supervise and do the bare minimum.. I'm not even sure what I can do tbh.. I need to wallpaper DS2's room but he is sleeping as always.

Breakfast scoffed. Washing on line, bunnies out. Door shut in the hope that the mouse made good its escape.
Diary checked - car is in at 10:30 - more than enough time to make a start..
Happy birthday to the eldest piglet.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
