It's official. The naughty step chaise longue is now a haven of rest, recuperation and general snuggliness. All are welcome, there's room for everyone.

I like the sound of this chaise longue! No NSD today, shopping is being delivered. Took the opportunity to sweep £25 into savings as well and bought a game for my phone (yes I am that bored). Have had sight of my payslip and things are looking good for November.
Not much else to report. Had a nice walk this morning, applied for a job, had a nice swim at lunchtime too.9 -
Evening turtles
DD2 had a phone call from the clinic and has an appointment next month, they also said her blood tests were fine. Feel relieved we have had some follow up and have contact details if we need them.
DD1 is staying tonight and i'm looking forward to seeing her.
I had a long phone call with former clerk from PT job#2 & am finally making progress in properly taking over the role which i officially started in early Aug! I have even got paid for Aug and Sept at last. Glad of that as i was overdrawn.
Went for a walk to the PO to post a birthday card and present. Lots of family birthdays this month. Forgot to put on bitFit today so don't know steps but definitely over 10k. Made myself a proper meal with veg - first green stuff i've eaten for a week. Now watching Bake Off and eating a french fancy(they are so small i might have to have another one)
Gratitudes
bit of reassurance for DD2; friends for checking up on me; comfy chaise longue with room for all

Sent a lengthy email to the doctor via something called Ask my GP. Haven't really said what i want but would like antibiotics (if I need them), referral for CBT/ possibly counselling (may follow up a separate source of my own) and maybe an x-ray for my leg (think some of my walking problems are down to arthritis getting worse). Someone (didn't specify it had to be the doctor) should ring me back.
Still need to sort pills which were missed off my last prescription, paperwork for blood tests and appointments for both mum and myself and work out what we are supposed to do about flu jabs and Covid boosters. One thing a day.
Made a Chinese stir fry using lots of bits from the fridge, more bits lined up for a pasta bake. bins out and did a walk round the garden to add to the bag and picked up all the leaves and weds I picked yesterday. Have pegged washing on the line but left it out. Think mum might have added an extra soap blob and I can cope with one of hers but two is far too much. bit more tidying in my room and a couple of quick dips into the freezer as part of the stock take (it starts making a noise if the door is open for more than a minute).
Grateful for snuggly chaise longue (and turtles), getting registered for the app (did try it early last year when mum was ill. no-one was at the doctor's to answer the phone and I went all through the registering process and then got a message to say no-one wa available. No idea what I used for a password and was just grateful it didn't let me go through it all and then tell me there was already an account for this address), getting used to my new to me laptop. DS1 has invited us for dinner on that day in December (and DS3, my brother and his daughters if they want to come). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
Well I lost my NSD day to 3 oranges and a pack of oreos for ds1, but was thanked with a stand up hug - standing ovation for that, first one in 3 months. I'm celebrating with a tin of beans in a bit.
And grateful for coached swimming, the height of my week.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hi guys
Another NSD today so now 6/10. Spent the day quietly because I thought I was coming down with something. I did a home test which was negative which is a relief, but I’ve spent most of the day asleep. I’m not back in work until Thursday and hope I’ll be ok. We’re so short staffed that I’ll be really unpopular if I’m not fit to work.
So I added a few bits towards Xmas on next weeks online shop. Told DS2 to keep a shelf free in his freezer and space in his cupboards so I can add stuff. We’re having xmas dinner there because he has more room than us.
Tea was simple. Pork chops done in the air frier with leftover veg from yesterday and gravy. So I’m grateful today for the negative test, an afternoon snooze and OH remembering bread and milk on his way home.
Anyway time for bed, night night.

Morning turtles.
I am so excited about my holiday. It is going to be raining all week, but I just don't care! Wellies and mac for walking, baths, hot chocolate, crafting, cooking, and relaxing with my DD.
Grateful for:
- solicitor getting back to me - trying to get some of my legal fees back through insurance.
- hump day
- the bin men (in Brighton) being back to work after a strike.
3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497
Additional pension contributions £0
Overpayment on mortgage: £0

NSD 12 done and dusted. 3 out of 5 of us are Covid+ It is chucking it down.Highlight of the day will be taking 2 PCR tests to the postbox. I might just skip, or do star jumps.Utterly grateful for being able to cook, that everyone is too warm so the heating has not been on for a week (they are experiencing MY normal level of warmth), and that although they are feeling grotty - nobody is upset or tearful with it.Darling Dr Foxholes moved up to a top floor bedroom so he and DS4 can recuperate together and chat across the landing in their little plague village. When this is over I have realised one tray in the house is simply not enough when doing room service. So I am writing a list of things only to be bought in the c/s.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Just tested negative again on the afternoon round of covid tests, the sun has come out, the laundry is on the line, 2 soups are in the fridge, and the soda bread is out of the oven. I am resigned to catching it, need to get some more food soon, so a supermarket run may be in order very early tomorrow morning when the supermarket is nice and empty. Don't want to bump into anyone and 8am in Herr L's is like a ghost-town
