Maybe one day I will experience this legendary billing. I've been 4 months without being able to supply a reading to Octopus.
I've supplied Octopus Gas and Electricity readings every month for the last three months and STILL not receiving any bills.
Three months of DD's paid, account showing in credit because they are not taking any money.?
They FINALLY charged some money yesterday....hopefully a bill will be generated soon so I can finally see how much in debt I am.
My last Octopus bill appeared on their website the day after the charge was applied to my account balance. Yours might be there today.
    Nope..........  Still showing :

    It's looking a bit quiet in here…🕵

Once Avro's administrators issue your final bill, we'll update your Octopus balance and your transfer will be complete. We'll be in touch as soon as we know more.

Same here. Guess we're in the 10% that Octopus haven't sorted yet. Not as if the account was mid-switch either, been with Avro for years.

I asked them on twitter again last week.
Same answer, which I shall paraphrase as a throwing up of hands and "not a scooby" as to timescale.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

You said that they charged you. If you look on the "account balance" page it should say how much they charged you and for what. What does it say there?

On the plus side, we can’t be charged for gas or electricity used more than 12 months ago. We're already a third of the way there!

That's an interesting thought. After all, we have given them meter readings. Nothing more we can do!

I'm an ex-Avro customer who'd switched away but was still owed a credit refund when they went bust.

I've finally received an email from Octopus today. It says most refunds for ex-customers (at time of going bust) should be issued in the next 2 weeks.

Ao it looks like I'll receive my Avro refund before my PFP Energy refund, despite Avro going bust several weeks later.

I too got the same email so this is encouraging - part of it states

"However, more complex cases like yours, with a switch away from Avro before it entered Administration, have been waiting longer as they need extra checks and balances.

We started sending credit repayments last week, and expect to get them on their way for 90% of customers within the next two weeks. Once the payment has been sent, it may take up to five days to appear in the same bank account you used to pay Avro.

If you still use the same bank account that you used to pay Avro, or have transferred the account to another bank, you don’t need to do anything
     — we’ll email again once your payment is on its way."

Well I shall give them a few more weeks.  Hopefully this will be the beginning of the end for more complex cases like mine - yeah where Avro had given the final bill but had not paid the credit duh.  Not sure how this can be described as being complicated but still.

Nothing from Octopus for me today.
  • Luckily enough i didn't have too much credit there but enough to cover my usage before i started with Sainsburys. I'm guessing it'll be a few days worth to Avro before they went, another few to Octopus and whatever's left will head my way.

Didn't get any email yet though but good some are getting dealt with

Also the same here. Although we were one of those 'mid-switch' - Avro took a payment before the supply started, although went bust well before the start date. Weirdly, not sure if it's just us but we asked Octopus as only 'Gas' appears within our account and there's absolutely no record of Electricity on there anywhere despite being dual fuel.

I'm also fairly certain no-ones taken any form of payment since the initial Avro sign-up. Communication for those in the final "10%" admittedly has been fairly poor, despite requesting updates frequently it looks like we'll remain in limbo for quite some time.
