Sounds like they are about to discontinue.  Press them a bit!

I'd ring them and tell them you have a very thorough WS and evidence bundle all ready to be filed & served and are just leaving it till the last minute as you fully expect their discontinuance this week, in order to bring the farce to an end and to stop wasting your time and theirs.

Be as sarky as you like. They are not worthy of respect.

    Thanks as always CM.

I called them, but unfortunately they’re now closed. I’ll call them tomorrow before 17:00 and let you guys know what the situation is.

    Thank you,

    I predict a Friday discontinuance.

But go on, have some fun with them and tell them you want your case added to the very long list of DCBLegal discontinuances that is so infamous, it even has its own thread in MSE!

Please record the call and share!

    Ooh, thats a brilliant idea!

I called them earlier this morning, and all they wanted to say was the Claimant wanted to give a final offer of £165… thought it’d be about the discontinuance.

Told them the above and they just said we’ll note this down and advise the client.

Slightly unfortunate end to that, but I guess we’ll see what UKPC have to say - it could all still turn around (maybe…)

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks,
    IMT

Being the sort of person I am, I would have said, "Oh I would have accepted £100, but if you're going to offer me £160, I'll gladly accept it."

Other than that, wait and see who blinks first.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

Who knows…I could very well have some good news before end of tomorrow or next week - basically putting it out into existence in hopes higher powers listen  ;)

    Anyways…until the next update!

    Have a wonderful day folks,

Make sure that WS etc is filed and served by due date if no discontuance before.

If you do have to action WS a heads-up  -  check WS index/main body re exhibit numbers  -  for instance index state EX 1-8 as signs but main body refers to (para 11) Ex 6 as PCN  - there are others.

Yes - indeed. It is still my full intention to send this out before my next few weeks are jam-packed.

If you do have to action WS a heads-up  -  check WS index/main body re exhibit numbers  -  for instance index state EX 1-8 as signs but main body refers to (para 11) Ex 6 as PCN  - there are others.
Exhibit 1 was a Googlemaps view of the road where i parked, both with and without a sign a year both sides from the infringement - wasn't sure which to apply to the WS.

Exhibits 2-8 were all of from the SAR as showing; the PCN on the vehicle, images of the vehicle on the non-marked road surface with signages in the distance. I needed advice whether to use these as provided from the SAR or to use just the Googlemaps street view and one photo which I took around the time that shows the signage (in the distance, one blurred, and some with clarity from a separate email).

I gave some brief notes from my comment on 5 September at 11:31PM so please let me know your feedback on these whether relevant, or potential omissions from the WS and I will revise and upload an updated version.

    Thanking you in advance,
    IMT.
  • Also, I've just seen an email post-voicemail they left yesterday to state that the proposed payment from the Client was to pay £165, but that the current outstanding balance was over £320 - again, they can stick that someplace...

Just thought I'd mention it for the record here.

    Thanks,
    IMT.
