TBF - i think screenshots and statements etc are a bit far fetched. OCT will not commit fraud by changing the details and balances etc of peoples account. They will have all the information to hand0

@ballisticbrianballisticbrian said:bob_a_builder thanks for trying but as a customer of 2 months, I cannot login using the old link you sent. Also, I can get to the front screen indicating there are statements there, however when I click on a statement, I get the message I posted above. Been trying for 2 days.
Like you I've only been with Avro since May. I've just signed in (on pc) at the bottom right and corner was a message..request has been logged please try in 15 mins, or something on those lines.0 -
Refreshing the page a few times has always got it to load. Of course you then move to another page and have to refresh it; but there are half a million customers trying to get their details downloaded, so that is only to be expected.

@xlnc99 So what are daily unit rates for gas & electric and the daily service charge for gas & electric compared to Octopus? Also you must have received the same email as I did stating they will be putting us on a tarff that is cheaper then any other at the moment.xlnc99 said:
NEON REEF - cheapest on the marketLippyDoodle said:
Who have you comparied them to? When I checked a while ago there were a lot more companies offering much higher prices. If you can find a better deal that's great.xlnc99 said:Ok guys just compared
OCT is defo very expensive - DO NOT STAY WITH THEM.
I have already found a cheaper alternative, infact they all. It looks like i have to go for separate gas and electricity suppliers for a fixed term.
Start looking elsewhere now, OCT are very expensive and there are cheaper places out there
Only concern is - will they go bust too?
I had an email from Octopus earlier too and this is an extract from it...so I wouldn't jump just yet.
Over the next few weeks, we will transfer you to our award-winning customer service platform on one of our great value tariffs.
We will be in touch with your rates and charges soon, but they will be cheaper than anything available from any other large supplier today — and cheaper than the fixed prices we’re currently offering new customers on our own website.0 -
NEEN REEF were cheaper then my AVRO i believe it was around 16p for electric. Octopus are around 23-26p. I would not read too much into what they say. They are trying to keep customers because they know ful well when we saw the prices OCT offer we would be running a mile. Even if they offer a cheaper tarrif then what they advertise (i dont even think they are allowed to do so but i dont no) it will still be more expensive then what is out thereLippyDoodle said:

Cheaper than any other large supplier - by which they will mean what was called the Big Six, although Octopus themselves are clearly one of those now. As I understand it from Trustpilot, Neon Reef is a minnow whose parent company has already fallen over and who are not currently responding to any attempts to contact them. There will be various small companies still offering lower rates, until they can no longer balance their books and they too collapse. And every time people have to switch yet again to yet another company, it is probable that the tariffs they end up on will be higher than if they had accepted them in the first place.LippyDoodle said:Also you must have received the same email as I did stating they will be putting us on a tarff that is cheaper then any other at the moment.

Neon reef only offer electricity so unless you're in the minority that doesn't use gas then pretty much useless. I'm not saying you can't go separate suppliers but good luck trying to find a decent priced gas only supplier.
Happy to be corrected on the above.1 -
I was classing Octopus as being one of the large suppliers. I've never heard of Neon Reef so who was their parent company?MollyR said:

Yes true but the electricity is so cheap then even a little more expensive GAS tariff still saves you a fortune overall. I had a look you can get good single gas tariffs that are similar for the dual tariff pricesThesaltmustflow said:Neon reef only offer electricity so unless you're in the minority that doesn't use gas then pretty much useless.
