And they took my weeklies today. Got another weekly due tomorrow, so will see if that happens
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Just had a delightful chat with someone at Post Office Money. One of my 5 accounts won't allow withdrawls or transfers. Normal nonsense.
What was less normal was the reason I was given over the phone - that I'd broken the terms and conditions by having 5 accounts. He had no answer when I asked why the system would:
    1. still allow deposits
    2. not apply the restriction to all accounts
    3. not allow account closure (i.e. fixing the breach)
He also told me I could only fix the problem by ringing between 9 and 3.

Guy on the phone was slurring to the point he sounded drunk.
The team at Post Office seem to apply the T&Cs very inconsistently - it depends on who you get on the phone really. Technically they are correct in that the terms only allow one account, although in my experience they seem to interpret this to mean one account per issue rather than one account full stop. In my mind if their systems are set up to allow it, then that is what they intend by the terms... I'm sure if you pushed on that then they'd say their systems are perfect, right??  B)

I had a number of accounts (of different issues, both monthly and annual interest) before I decided to close them all down - a few had the "blocked from being debited" error. Very hit and miss, but it seemed to mostly get applied to accounts where I'd changed the linked account. Couldn't be bothered calling so I just sent them a strongly-worded complaint letter by recorded delivery and about a month later they were all closed down. Balances were returned to their respective linked accounts.

Out of interest were these changed manually by yourself or were they changed automatically as a result of CASS switches?

Both actually, but I don't recall if there was a difference in terms of which ones ended up having issues as a result of a manual change or a CASS switch
