  • Great rabbits!

£4 yesterday on chocolate (on offer).  2 x packs of 4 kitkat chunkys and 1 x pack of 5 malteser bunnies.  Former are for work.  Latter for DC - DC1 has his vaccinations today so needed something to take to stop the tears afterwards!  Other than that, NSD.

Need milk today(!) but will go to garage on way back from vaccinations as is cheaper.  So 3l will be £4.20.  Probs staying in this morning as DC1 will need a sleep having been up half the night then up properly at 520.  Then vaccinations and health check at 11.  So will stay in this am and go to MIL this pm - last Tuesday of my feeling the absolute need to do this hopefully!  Dinner from stores tonight - sausages with pasta and a lloyd grossman tomato and chilli sauce and lots of parmesan - yum.

Work still rubbish.  Person of interest still majorly taking the michael and it's hard to stay motivated.
  • Those Lloyd Grossman sauces are lovely.  We use the tomarto and wine one to make lentil lasange and have a tomarto and basil one coming next week for a pasta bake with spinach and mozzarella.  Is the chilli one overly spicy?  I like chilli but not so sure I'd like it in a pasta sauce iyswim.

It definitely has a pick to it, but I like it and I'm not mad keen on overly spicy stuff.  We used to do it using chorizo cut in half but that WAS a tad spicy so now just do it with sausage.  Never thought about using it in a lasagna but might try that!
  • DC1 had vaccinations and was absolutely fine!  Chomped on his malteser bunny and happy as larry!  He also had his eyes checked and a height and weight check - all good.

Milk purchased!  3.40 for 3l.  SUCH difficulty carrying that up the stairs whilst having a huge bag on my back also, carrying DC2 and helping DC1.

DH home making us all lunch from stores.  Going to head to MIL after lunch and DH will help us down so only have to get them back up by myself.

After today, as long as covid doesn't mess it up only ONE more day when I have to get them up and down those blasted stairs by myself.  Praise the lord.

All kicked off at work - people are messaging me about what is going on with the lazy chosen one!

Thanks I shall give it a go.  Mr M_F would love the chorizo version but as I'm the cook its tough

For those who like them you can easily change any of the bought tomato type sauces into chilli simply by adding some spoonfuls of chopped chilli (see home bargains).  But for home made chilli I just use chopped tom, red kidney beans any veg left over & I do mean any courgette, cauli, aubergine, mushrooms hopefully then onions & peppers obviously, the end of any freezer bags & a small pack of meat - mince usually but I did use some steak a friend had defrosted too much of last time.  Thats what I love about Italian, Spanish, Indian, Mexican type meals, they are very accepting!  All thanks to a father who spent the war years moving round Asia & Europe trying not to get killed.  Most of my friends had never even heard of curry let alone tasted it.

7 until we buy, 9 until we're totally moved in.  10 until we can shut the door on the flat completely as we will be finishing off cleaning on the Friday but we may, with a flat sea and a fair breeze, get it done on the thursday!
