I don't think you can classify a supplier with 350,000 customers as small fry.
Small maybe compared to BG, the largest UK supplier, with 10 million customer accounts.
But massive compared to small fry, with maybe 10,000 customers .

I'd be much happier with a small fry supplier with say 20,000 customers who can treat you as an individual, and have all the "modern"  IT requirements in place to allow you to contact them by email.(and them to read it)
Sadly that is not a technological development even BG have managed to provide to their customers, who they will treat as just a number.
  • Nothing but issues with them, wont be missed.

  • Posted this two weeks ago on another PE thread.

Entirely predictable, just like Tonik Energy demise.

Hope there were some who escaped before the SOLR process kicks in!

  • If I keep my direct debit active, does anyone know if they will they call for the payment? If so, will this be transferred to the new supplier? Or should I cancel it?

Another nail in the coffin of comparison/switching sites.
"Switching is easy" we're told. Tell that to someone who switches to a company who subsequently goes bust then OFGEM kindly appoint a SoLR who slaps an expensive rate on you and you have to switch again, if you can take it.

By your own account, switching was indeed easy. The company you switched to going bust is hardly the comparison sites' fault.
