Sorry guys if this has been answered before... My contract with utility point was going to end in December 2021 and now I have been moved to the welcome tariff with EDF which is protected by price cap. Will EDF move me in December to another expensive tariff or they will keep me on this one?0

Another update - both mine and my parents accounts (separate address miles apart) have now had requests for both gas and elec readings (which were submitted) and also have had notification that EDF have set up a direct debit (confirmed in online banking they have) with an amount for each in the first month and then combined in one payment from month two onwards. Less than what i imagined to be honest and only about £8 more than what I was paying UP.Also noted in online banking the UP direct debit has disappeared from my list so assume no more payments to them but wont know for sure until early December.Still, things look to be moving a lot quicker now and I've just had an email whilst typing this to say my switch is nearly complete. Will update again when more is known.3

My switch is now complete to EDF and they have allowed me to set up a direct debit on my account. They first requested my meter readings on the 8th Nov so looks like it takes about 10 days from the meter reading request until the switch is finished. The only thing left now is to wait for the credit from UP to be transferred, but I’m confident things are progressing well now.1

Just requested meter read and will be complete on the 23 November. Also dd set at same amount as with UP. However will change so I can pay whole amount each month when switch completed.0

Today received an email from edf to log in to my account and provide a meter reading.
UP to now I haven’t bothered doing anything due to the we are setting up your account, working with UP etc emails but finally looks like the transfer is about to take place.
Question! EDF want my meter read TODAY. Does that mean I will pay my old UP tariff rates up to today’s meter read OR will edf ‘attenuate’ the read to produce an estimated read for the 18th September when edf took over my account?0 -
