I got RBS, Natwest and Ulster incentives from their last offer. All accounts opened on the same day.
    This may no longer work.

Ulster Bank was previously a separate bank within the NatWest/RBS Group. As part of exiting the ROI market, they've legally restructured Ulster Bank to be a NatWest Bank trading name.
Ulster Bank is the same as RBS, a trading name of NatWest Bank plc.

well it looks like the application has been accepted as have had an email saying "Your Select account will be up and running soon. We'll email you with more details about your account within 24-48 hours."

Hopefully i will get an email reference the switch clearing up if it is started automatically from the application info or if i have to request it again, especially as though i was asked for the account and card info, it didn't ask to chose a switch date, which is not something i have come across before.
For me, the switch happened automatically after I was accepted after doing the ID thing.

Looking at my emails, I applied and completed ID on the 6th of October, I got several emails on the 7th confirming account opening etc. and one of them was confirming the start of the switch. The switch was completed on the 14th.
  • I switched one of my two Tesco current accounts to the Nationwide and hopefully will get the £125. As I have a second Tesco account do you think it’s possible to use that to switch to RBS? Apart from paying in £1500 and doing 10 other transaction a month if you want the £50 later payment I can’t see any reference to having to move any DD across for at least the £100 payment.  My second Tesco account has no DD attached to it. And currently not used but still active.

Thank you i appreciate the help.  Good news looks like mine will be done automatically to, as i have had a series of emails today as you described, confirming the account is now open etc and have had a text confirming the switch is being started and the old account should close on 2nd november.

Think it threw me as other switches at application have asked for a preferred date for the switch whereas was not in this case, but at least its all done.  will credit the £1500 in a few days, have already logged online via the app this afternoon and the account is showing there.

Sorry to sound stupid- please would someone explain the verification process that they are using? I am not very computer savvy!! can't do a video, but can scan & attach docs but that doesn't seem to be what is needed.

Yes, I got the NatWest bonus a couple of years ago but with several dormant a/cs I could try this.
    All help welcomed!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Was all new to me also, couldn't do the liveness check  through laptop camera. Was able to use a tablet though.
Its 2 step poocess, first upload id - passport or driving licence, then the aliveness check where you look into the camera on device and have to nod your head as far as i remember.
    Easy enough really.

Same here as I don't have any Photo ID's! Pity it won't take my works ID with photo. I have no Passport and just an old paper licence.
