    Has the offer changed?
Martin's switch page now only refers to Santander Lite 123 and not the Everyday Saver, and there's some stipulation about using the mobile app (though on another section it only refers to digital banking and not mobile app).

I initiated a switch last week to an everyday saver and now not sure it will work if the T&Cs have changed.

No, the Santander T&C's are where you want to look not the sloppy listing on MSE. And the account is not a "Saver" btw. Still login on line or use the app for that part of the offer.

I think the Lite account is referred to specifically on the 'switch page', as that is the recommend/ best value account (for many) due to cashback on bills even with the monthly fee.
  • The first of our 2 payouts had arrived this morning.  This was my account switch which completed at the end of Sept. The one in my husband’s name hasn’t paid out yet, but that switch completed a few days later in early Oct.

Following the fact some if you had 2 pay out in the same day, despite switches starting at different times, I thought we might get both together, but I expect it will in be in the ne xt week and they have loads to work through (although it’s prob automated) as a lot of people will have gone for it in the first couple of weeks.

Those 2 Santander accounts are now ready for another switch and each has 2 DDs conveniently already running, so easy to meet other criteria.  Trouble is, it’s getting harder to find accounts I’m eligible to switch into, as I’ve had something from many of them in the last 3 years, so won’t qualify.  Have had 2x Nationwide and 1xLloyds on top of these 2 Santander’s since the summer…so not bad going.  Can’t get any Halifax bonuses as had those in Aug 2020 and think I’ve had the others currently available too, or their ‘sister’ bank which makes you excluded.

Anyway, £500+ is pretty pleasing and perhaps it’s time to sit back and wait for time to pass to qualify again.

What would be useful would be some accounts with decent rewards (got the Halifax £5 per month) or or interest to give some regular income really.  I tend to see the switch bop uses as in lieu of interest, in this barren period.

So from my limited and unscientific analysis it appears that the earliest payment may be made is 56 54 days (under 8 weeks) after the date the switch was initiated, however at least one person here initiated their switch over a month after they originally opened their account and received the bonus 58 days after the opening date, so the account opening date could also be a factor.

We shall have to see what happens going forward, and of course as others have said, the bank has up to 90 days to pay qualifying customers.

Wombat, you still have a few more switching possibilities:

1 x Nationwide Joint Flex or Flex Direct account for a further £125 (you only need to switch in a single account)

    2 x Virgin Money = 2 x £150 worth of wine

    2 x First Direct = 2 x £130
