That would be even greater then, as I have already all my households bills DD on the existing accounttg99 said:Just reading the t and c for the first time and now see that I don’t actually need to do anything in terms of direct debits as already have more than 2 active ones on existing Santander account I’m switching into. (Guessing this has been mentioned already on this thread.)
Was thinking I might need to before reading t and c as on their website it says ‘set up at least 2 active direct debits’ within 60 days.0 -
Has anyone else found Santander a bit flaky?
I've used the debit card about 10 times. I've had one contactless, one chip n pin decline plus an ATM decline. The contactless/Chip n pin were in the same location (Used another card). With the ATM decline - it declined first time then worked when re- inserted immediately after. Is a 30% failure normal for them?0 -
Ive had an account with them since they started in the UK, never had a problem.0

i've not had any issues with them myself, had the Santander 123 lite account for last 5 years and no issues. However, I have noticed when logging into the app last night and today, it has a message that is advising they are aware some customers are experiencing issues with card payments and that it is being looked into and updates can be found on their social media sites.Deleted User said:Has anyone else found Santander a bit flaky?

I have held various Santander current accounts since 2011, and my most active current account is still a 123 Lite, with thousands going in and out every month. Not had any probs with Santander BUT I seldom use the debit cards. My Mastercard worked fine half an hour ago for an online purchase, and I can't recall any issues in the past, when it was still a VISA card. What's your card, MC or VISA?Deleted User said:Has anyone else found Santander a bit flaky?

However, they have had a notice up in their app for a few days now about problems with cards. I was surprised to see this message for at least 3 days running now - you'd have thought they had fixed it by now (never mind the weekend).

They won't even assess your account to see if you're eligible until 60 days have elapsed from the date you requested the switch, and even then it could be up to a further 30 days before the bonus is paid.GTR_King said:still not got my £130 yet hopefully soon1 -

I do accept they may have been short term glitches but the debit / ATM transactions were several days apart. Once the £130 is deposited, it will be switching out promptly to the next available offer; Santander is definitely not a keeper.
