  • Hi all,

    So for example.
I have 2  personal accounts with bank "xxx", plus credit card
My wife has 1 personal account with bank "xxx", plus credit card
We have a joint  account with bank "xxx",

All salaries go to our respective personal accounts, where we keep £100 of our salary each "play money", and the rest goes to our joint.

All DD's (7) come from joint account.

So we could go to Santander and open a personal account each, and have our respective salaries (Over the £1000 required) paid into, and each of us take 2 DD's from old bank "xxx" and put to our new personal accounts with Santander.

Am I reading right that this will gain us £130 each ?

Reason is we have a difference of opinion with bank "xxx" at the moment, where they are holding £209.00

90 days to receive the switching bonus? Is that correct??

Switch date is today and everything has gone smoothly. No issues at all. Account set up quickly, card & pin received and transfer from Halifax to Santander done with no hiccups.
90 days seems a bit long but could be quicker.

My switch due to be completed tomz

How long did it take for stuff to arrive once u applied for account & got accepted

So existing customer opened new account which was available online to make payments from / to within minutes via online and app.

card arrived week later, pin a few days after but I could see it via app anyway.

I have a Mastercard (replacement for VISA) on my ancient 123 Lite, and a VISA one on my brand new Everyday account. Both cards received this week.

Is anyone else struggling to register for online banking? It's not letting me progress despite filling all mandatory fields (name, dob, postcode). Wondering if it's a problem on my end?

Sounds like everyday current accounts will be the last to get Mastercard from what you said could be wrong
