Morning all,
NMM glad your OH is home xx
Well I jinxed it - I was in the WAC from 3am onwards. I feel like I am starting with a cold, and my eyes are very itchy too. No early night tonight as DS has footie training - he loves it, which makes the Friday evening trip out worthwhile.
WM x1 on the go, cuppa being slurped, I need to nip back into the library today to collect another book. Haven't done the deed yet, but work are insisting I go in for a face to face meeting on Tuesday at 9am, I really don't want to but they are saying it has to be face to face this time. My contract just says "appropriate contact" during a period of sickness absence, how is this appropriate in my case I do not know.
Take care all x9 -
Hugs ASB
WM again
Hhi basket empty
Bins brought back in
Packed ready for weekend away

No flying as yet but a long night emptying the biscuit tin with ASB in the WAC.
Just back from taking DD to uni for the first time. I managed not to cry as I left her (came very close…) but feel bereft now, and we have only been back under an hour. DH is now snoring in the armchair after his stressful day, so I need to find something to do before I commit a crime with the cushion iyswim. Maybe HHI will help.
Glad to hear that Mr nmm is back home to join the gang of recuperating flyOHs.7 -
(((Hugs))) Fayolle and welcome home Mr Nmm.Belovéd vacuummed the ground and top layer and made the bed while I did the stairs, the shower room and the bathroom. It all looks a lot better.
Better is good enough.7 -
ASB that sounds a bit unfair them making you go in to work, especially when its MH issues, not a broken arm or something. It sounds a bit insensitive and I think you would have grounds to refuse if you say that you are prepared to do a remote meeting. If you do go I just think that you need to brutally honest with them about how you feel, which won't be easy. You can ring ACAS for free confidential advice if you need it, and they are really good. Much love x
Fayolle oh yes, I know that feeling, be kind to yourself. Seeing them again for a visit is so lovely.
I think we need a Flylady sick bay for these poorly OHs and other family members. Hugs to those caring for them.
Online workout first thing, then paid stuff. I forgot SIL's birthday, and she is one of those people who takes things like that to heart, so I took her flowers and a card and apologised. Called to see MIL and picked up the dogs prescription. Oh and I have just stuffed my face with chicken and chorizo pasta bake - with cream - and garlic bread. Wine and crisps next so calorie overload here. Sometimes it's got to be done.9 -
(((Hugs))) to Fayolle xx and asb xx
Glad your OH is doing well, nmm xx
Various admin jobs done today, but I slept for 2 hours this afternoon. I also mowed the lawn, and of course Rosie got her usual walk. DH has been in a better mood, but I notice he hasn't taken any exercise apart from walking round the house.
I need to sort a few more papers and then I can fall into bed. I have to be at a new Scout group's taster session at 10.00 in the morning.
Hope everyone who isn't at work will enjoy a restful weekend xx8 -
Waves to everyone from a hotel 😀
We are visiting DS1. The roads have been full of road works and often hilly so we are chilling out for the rest of the evening. It is the celebration for his Mater’s, he should have graduated last year but it has been postponed until next year at the earliest.
I’m about to wash our cups.8 -
Glad everyone's OH are returning home and are getting well.
I'm gradually catching up on all the admin and returning to my usual gym classes. Went to Body Attack this morning, decided the changing room was too crowded for comfort so came home to shower and took the opportunity of giving it a good clean while I was in there. Missing my free beach swims; went for a lovely lake swim yesterday evening with a friend but it costs!
Had a zoom with uni manager today, we have agreed that I will do an assessment F2F on Wednesdays starting this coming week, then return to 2 x assessments per week - I don't mind if one of those is remote, depends what the student prefers; I can see fors and againsts for remote. Had a good session with my workplace student F2F today.
Still harvesting beans and tomatoes mainly. Frantically trying to catch up on weeding, pruning and general garden tidying. It is beginning to take on an autumnal feel which I find depressing, although autumn is pretty once I've accepted summer is on the way out.
Tomorrow - don't laugh - I am going on a 4 hr cleaning course!!!!! It is to do with preserving our old village churches and the bats who live in them.....like I really want to spend my Saturday learning how to remove bat pooh from the church furniture...... but I'm on the cleaning rota (all 3 of us) so I ought to show willing.
Poor Mr N is struggling with his RA at the moment; he goes to see a specialist about a different treatment soon (thanks to JoJo recommending Biologics) so I hope that affords him some respite. This week he's had one very painful, swollen hand plus the opposite knee; last year it was mainly his feet. Such an unpredictable, moveable condition.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all. I will potter today mostly in the garden, but first get dressed and walk the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
