Morning all
Grey and dull here too. DH was up at 6.30am. As I had been plumping cushions in the WAC since 3am, I resolutely stayed in bed until 8am. Suppose I ought to get dressed, now that I have had my cuppa and caught up on a couple of threads.
DH was supposed to be hedge cutting today, but has decided to paint some of the woodwork in the small bedroom - I’m the decorator of the house, so this should be interesting. The floor is finally getting laid this week, then the battle over what goes back in the room will commence.
I need to get a load in the wm, give the bathrooms a clean, then rummage through the fridge and freezer to decide on some meals. I’m trying to get DH more on board with everyday frugality, especially with spiralling costs. Although he is now fine with the bigger things, it’s the every day where he still needs to be enlightened 😉.Need to give myself a kick - feel like curling up on the settee and doing sweet fa.
ETA - ASB, thank you for asking, honey, unfortunately, no. But I think sadly I’m into a bit of a cycle now and expect to wake up around 3am. So I do.10 -
Fayolle, YL and others who lurk on the frugal thread - frugality, I think, is going to be necessary to get us through the next few months. I appreciate the news is full of alarmist headlines all the time, but those at the moment regarding energy prices are very very worrying.
I know my position is slightly different because I am almost voluntarily drastically reducing my income due to my health, but we can all take steps that will preserve our finances for the next few months which we will be thankful for in the depths of winter XX

Me again. Dailies all done now, downstairs loo s&sd and back grass cut. As soon as I removed the plug the rain started so it's indoor jobs now for rest of day but I'm going to read a bit more of my book first.Spend less now, work less later.10
