Update from me.
The grass has been cut, and eggs collected. One niggly big job done (it was a two person job, so my friend helped). Library books located to return on the school run, letter written and ready to post, lunch scoffed and a huge pan of veggie chilli made. Sausage, mash and yorkies for dinner later which I am looking forward to already.
I have just heard about the National Grid fire - is anyone else genuinely concerned about electricity prices rising even higher? I have to admit that it really concerns me. On that note Dizzy did you manage to look into your meter?7 -
I have reshuffled some boxes.. filled a wheelie bin.. and found my bedroom window..OH putting up the bed for the girls.. so I have whizzed the vacuum around up there.. I need to find bedding for it and then the landing needs digging out again.
My bed is buried under 3ft of stuff.. but I have a pile of coats to sell.. I have very very little purchased for christmas so I really need to crack in with that but I just don't have the time, the room or the money..

2 loads of washing outside, a few bags of beans prepped for the freezer and for dinner tonight. Veggie roll filling prepped so that they can go in oven when dinner is cooking. Preserves from the weekend labelled and stashed. WUDUPA x zillion. Ok, maybe 4 times. It felt like I’d done so much more.9

Final check in from me.
Dinner has been cooked, eaten and the kitchen tidied. The DW is doing its thing, we are all in PJs, and I have decluttered a full carrier of what can only be described as complete and utter tat from the kitchen. Where oh where does it come from?!
I hope the WAC is empty tonight xx

We didn't have all the screws for the bed so had a trip to BnQ.. then to the tip to fling DS1's old mattress.. then collected the girls from school and our food parcel.. dashed to Tesc0 for birthday cake and got pizza for dinner.. stuffed that lot in the oven and wrapped presents while it cooked.. did cake.. did presents.. shoved Squeak out the door for music lesson.. Made the newly built bed, moved the keyboard and a trofast unit. Put Squeaks bed back together while Dot rearranged her stuffed zoo.. put Dots old mattress on top of Pixies bed so she is sleeping on the 'spare' bed which we are taking down tomorrow and putting in the shed until someone needs it.. it is a metal frame so will be fine.
I need to see if Dun3lm have some of the cheap bedsheets I got before and grab a couple of those.. and a couple of mattress protectors..
Tomorrow..Girls are staying hot dinners so no pack ups to make.. YAY!Dun3lm tripCS runfill the ottoman bed.. still not decided if DD2's or Meems or my or the girls stuff is being stashed in it..Empty a chest of drawers for Meem to usepost a parcelMake moomin, DS1 and if I can stand it, myself nurse/dr's appointments..

Evening all.
Thanks again for good wishes for my DH. He is a lot better today, and as it was beautifully sunny and warm, we decided to drive up to the forest for lunch. We take our own chairs, so that he only has to walk a few yards from the car to the grassy area, and he hasn't exactly had to exert himself! I left him sitting in the sunshine (with a hat on!), reading, while I took Rosie for a pleasant walk. She found some squirrels to chase, and she also got the sausage treat that she associates with the place, so she was happy too.
Fayolle, please stop beating yourself up - you had done far more by lunchtime than I have done in a full day!
Before we went out, I S&S'd the kitchen, bathroom and ensuite, counted and recorded the church collection so that I can pay it into the bank tomorrow, ordered my repeat meds, ran WMx1 and hung it out, and made the beds. On the way home we stopped in the market town to collect the v-shaped pillow and pillowcases that I had ordered for DH, and since getting back I have emptied my ironing basket (just 3 items!!!). No job took longer than 5 minutes, so how come they filled all the time I had? There are still several piles of papers in the study, all needing attention. But not tonight. DH has washed up the tea things and made a drink, so I'd better go and be sociable.
See you tomorrow xx

Ionafan, pleased your OH is home, mine is too, he came home on Wednesday evening. He has to have the drain bag on for 28 days and is super drowsy with the pain relief, but atleast he is eating and sleeping better now
In his absence i flew around the whole house getting every room clean and tidy. Decluttered loads of stuff on freegle and spent lots of my time cross stitching. Looking forward to him getting better and us moving onto the boat.
