KKPhew - glad it isn't just me. Either my family eat all the bread or no bread and it goes mouldy. Now I put it straight in the freezer and we get them out when we need them slice by slice. No waste. I managed to buy nothing at all (*cough* ok, I bought a bag of doughnuts for everyone), but DD spent her ill gotten gains on some tat.2025 decluttering: 5,225 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 391🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Big kitchen declutter challenge 132/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 5004 -

Laughing at the bread bin posts. I do not own one. I briefly had one whilst living in my gorgeous rented barn (when escaping PPH) as it came with the full furnished property. I put in the bathroom cupboard, I could not see the point of itMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
Another one who doesn't have a bread bin here. I bake most of our bread and rolls and store them in paper bags (some.rolls then go in freezer bags and get frozen, as I bake quite a few at one time)
We did have a bread bin when we first bought a house back in 1991(!) It matched the tea/coffee/sugar pots, the biscuit box and the utensil jar - all long gone. They take up space on the side and harbour crumbs 😊 (I use kilner (autocorrected to killer! 😂) jars now for t/c/s)
