Technology and unplanned purchasing decisions are frustrating me.
1. After ordering and then cancelling mobile broadband, the supplier is yet to send me a returns code, so I'm stuck with it for now. Can't really bear another Indian call centre
2. Mounjaro order has gone through but it will mean virement of over £4003. My mobile phone recently decided it wasn't going to restart after an update. I got it working again and hoped for the best. The best is not happening and it fell over again today, taking me 2 hours to restart it in safe mode. I've ordered a new to me refurbished phone but this was another £160 (phone/case/screen protector). I'm pleased to have finally bought a refurbished phone but I'd rather have my £££ back
On a more positive note, I've been paid (highest single wage ever) and I've made a few £ on Prolific. Work is ticking over nicely.*Edit: financial plaudits for the day definitely go to Mrs E, who is getting a 10% bonus for her exceptional performance at work this year. Even with p-t hours, it's £3,000+ Won't be paid for 6 weeks or so but nice to see on the horizon.6 -
Well done to Mrs Ed on her bonus! I hope she gets a little budgeted for a treat or two to celebrate!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Bravo to Mrs Ed!
If she selflessly puts all of that in the home improvements pot and then flutters her eyelashes at you to match it, you could be in trouble ... !
Frustrating about the BB and the phone, but I'm glad work is calm and sensible for now

@rtandon27 - She will do
@KajiKita - You're forgetting that I front-loaded our budget with my £6,000 inheritance - granted that hasn't been allocated to a budget line yet!
Spoke too soon about work - boss is being mental (reviewing unfinished reports despite recognising that they were sent to them in error). I have pushed back by saying I'm not going to re-write something based on an error detected before the review process started!
Ps. "mental" is not meant to insult anyone with MH issues, it's purely descriptive of my boss4 -
Ah, I'd missed the £6K altogether!
Oh dear to your boss ... Sounds like you are managing upwards well ...
(Every day I become more grateful for my current boss, who in spite of acerbic outbursts of frustration (not directed at me!) is pragmatic, engaged, constructive and funny.)

Ha - we all take the mental descriptor in the spirit in which it was intended!
If it is any consolation, don't forget that Karma comes back to bite them in the posterior when we all least expect it! Mine will be off for September due to 'health' issues.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
