Me too. She's almost 14 and the dog chases her. Being a bit deaf (possibly selectively so) and a bit blind (classic milky eyes), it upsets her when he rushes at her and play bites. She develops stress related cystitis periodically. So we have plug in things (£60 quarterly), sprinkle powder for wet food, a couple of vet visits that told us nothing, and periodically she has taken to wee'ing in a clean, empty trug used for laundry (well, it was). Not what we hoped for but better than the leather sofa she has previously favoured. She's still a purry old thing so we are not ready to say goodbye yet.KajiKita said:Good news on the cat! 😊👏 Sympathies on the dirty protests - been there, had to clean that up … 🙄
Sounds like an excellent long weekend 😊 Enjoy.KK
He gets put on his lead indoors (so he knows he must obey us) and sometimes we tie that to the rail on the aga so he can no longer chase - so then she walks past, just out of reach, goading him, and drinks from his water bowl!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2234.63/£3000 or 74.49% of my annual spend so far (not going to be much of a Christmas at this rate as no spare after 9 months!

Being nosy here sorry! If April is a double pay month won't one come in the old tax year & one in the new? Just remembering a big stink a few years ago when asda employees got massive (for them) extra tax bills because their employers software didn't get it right.6

Hope the cat IS better and it avoids further expense. Even when our cat recovered from a broken leg the vet still said 3 more months inside to avoid big jumps. Enjoy your birthday weekend!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k6

@badmemory - Yes, that's right. My employer tends to get it right (about this aspect of pay/tax), as they're a local authority with tens of thousands of employees on 4-weekly pay

@earthgirl - another 3 months?
Week 2 of overtime completed, will be paid for 6 hours, which is IRO £162. No other financial news today, off to submit my meter readings and cook a big steak.Happy weekend all.6 -
