Oh no! Sounds like you need to liberally apply bubble wrap/cotton wool to your family members. Fingers crossed for speedy recovery all round xx6

Several screaming blue emojis to the cost of the scan. Hope DD recovers quickly, does she have a stookie?6

@teapot2 - just a splint
Apparently a crack team of vets are going to review cat's case with a full-day appointment at surgery "at no extra cost to us" to make sure she needs CT scan.
One can't help but wonder what they've done wrong/think they've done wrong to make such an offer 🙄
Pet spending £950 so far for March6 -

hopefully they come up with a low cost option for cat.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Hope the arm heals quick, and the cat doesn't need that scan. Yes maybe they think something was missed? Hope your cat is comfortable in the meantime.Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k5

Children's arms do usually heal quickly - they used to call them greenstick fractures when our (32 year old) son was under ten and broke his. Evidence of stitches too, they almost disappear. His cricket ball cut that gave him an Elvis lip for a while; gone. Unlike my generation where the top lip cut from a spinning top (metal) has left a scar that I always see because the "Cupid's bow" is wonky.
I am speechless about the cost of the catSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Another week survived
Whisper it, but cat is showing some tentative signs of bearing weight on the injured leg 🤞🏻 We are going to monitor her over the weekend and take her back to the vet next week (Tuesday onwards) to seek their advice. Don't want to keep her in for another 10 days if it can be avoided, she is doing dirty protests 🤢
I have cashed out from the various survey platforms, most likely for tax year end. In the region of £196 total, minus £55 or so for tax and pension.
My AVC has been reduced, so that will add c. £150 every 4 weeks in the short term. Mrs E has been paid and April is my 2-wage month.
£15.70 OPed.
Looking forward to the weekend. Giant dry-aged steak and red wine for "birthday" meal tomorrow, preparing a Mother's Day brunch for MIL and Mrs E Sunday, actual birthday, day off and sushi takeaway Monday 🤤 I'd say I do things other than eat for fun, but I'd be lying 😂9 -
Good news on the cat! 😊👏 Sympathies on the dirty protests - been there, had to clean that up … 🙄
Sounds like an excellent long weekend 😊 Enjoy.KKAs at 15.07.25:
