Thanks all, one of the most relaxed birthdays in recent memory!Getting stuck into April with a vengeance.
- £83.11 paid off CC
- £184.39 OPed (DD doesn't seem to have increased for some reason, figured this was better than dribs and drabs)
- Central heating temp moved from 19 to 18 degrees in the mornings and evenings
- Small roof repair happening today 🤞🏻
- Cat going to the vet, perhaps getting the all-clear from further intervention 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Fingers crossed that puss gets the all clear 🫰
Well done with your other monetary endeavours 😁 I have to say I'm heaving a sigh of relief that due to our slightly more clement location, we've been able to keep the heating off for the past few days. But I won't be surprised if this is a false spring and we have to turn it back on again just now.

@Greying_Pilgrim - we probably could have turned it off but we're Northern Southern softies because of DD2 and it's cheap enough to leave it on when the thermostat is barely being triggered
I have unsubscribed from YouGov in the interests of work life balance, just not worth my time anymore and I still had £37 to go before a payout5 -
Before you ditch YouGov entirely, have you looked into the connecting bank accounts option? It's up to 15p/day for barely any effort. My points have been going up much faster since I added itMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

@South_coast - I'm always a fan of relatively passive income - unfortunately I've experienced a few issues with YG connecting correctly to my accounts. On balance it's not worth it, their tech/customer support haven't been any help at resolving it. Anyway, one less bit of mental baggage in my financial life
Cat still being kept in until next week and our vet team freebie checks, we're reducing her painkillers and feeling optimistic. Vet no longer thinks CT scan is a good option based on recovery and current prognosis.7 -
I am solo parenting today, Mrs E in Engerland for a team meeting.Trying to continue my April motivation with some more practical stuff
- Roof was repaired yesterday. £108 (which seems a little steep but if I don't even know what the thing that needs fixed is called, who am I to judge)?
- Requested a quote from well known window repairing franchise where local outfit gets a decent rep. One window with a pane that lets in moisture during bad weather and two duff handles.
- Ordered a replacement part for our fancy Espresso maker to prevent leaking (not broken per se, just a consumable gasket that kicks the bucket periodically).
- Ordered printer ink, new shoes for DD2 and some naice coffee
If the sodding beloved cat continues her recovery, we'll be able to start saving for the big repairs from next month (side of fence collapsing + garage)Zonked - woke up at 5.7 - Roof was repaired yesterday. £108 (which seems a little steep but if I don't even know what the thing that needs fixed is called, who am I to judge)?

Depending on what was done £108 for the roof repair might not be too bad, simply because of the cost materials etc.?
Glad the cat is steadily improving, the scan seems to be moving into the distance and you have naice coffee on it's way
Good luck with bedtime!

£108 for the roof sounds like a bargain to me 👍 Most trades won't even get out of the van for much less than that, let alone take the ladders off the roof 🤣Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
