Well the call is done so that is one less thing to clutter up the brain with stressing about and now you can just relax potter and get a little better. As for changes, who knows what the future will bring. I doubt there will be much change but it is, for now, not for you to worry about, rather enjoy the family time and healing process.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Actually, I think OH were very useful … Why do I say this? Because one of their fundamental functions is to review what adjustments and support employees need to RETURN to work. Basically they have confirmed that you aren’t ready to even *start* this process yet, which actually is a rubber stamp on the requirement for your employer / bosses etc to give you some space …
The return to work date will be driven by your readiness to return. So you would be needing to be feeling a lot more rested, calmer, happier, have a clearer perspective on the whole thing before a return date could even be thought of. At that point, and only at that point, would the discussion about ‘adjustments’, phased return, etc start. But I can understand why it seems a bit chicken / egg / chicken … 😉😊
Glad my suggestions on how to talk about it all helped a bit 😊

We are going away for the long weekend, significant family birthday for a relly down South. The saddest thing? I'm most excited because I will get to sleep in a people bed for just about the first time since Christmas, DD2 has me on the couch as she's a wee monkey
Nothing seems to work in terms of sleep training and I was hoping she'd just grow out of it. As she approaches two, this is yet to happen!
I went to the dentist yesterday afternoon, who told me that I have been grinding my teeth quite badly and offered to fit me with a mouth guard. I told him I wasn't aware of it but that I was off work with stress. He nodded in a very unsurprised manner - funny how worry and stress can be very obvious to other people even when it's not their "day job" to notice it.8 -

So did you take up the offer of the mouth guard, or tell the dentist you are hoping to send the stress packing 🤔?
Hope you have a good weekend and the trip feels worth itMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Two things about grinding your teeth:
1. It returns. You can stop it, but stresses in the future make it start again
2. Don't have and implants or porcelain crowns as they just get smashed up (advice from my dentist).
My experience; I have gold and steel crowns (the white casing on several crowns disappeared through grinding). My bite is worn flat. The tell-tale sign that it has resumed is waking with a dull temple headache from your teeth being clamped together.

@South_coast - I think I'll get the mouth guard and send the stress packing - doubt any imminent change will fully do that! The trip probably wasn't worth the 11 hours of driving that I ended up doing but it was to visit a very close family member who has supported Mrs E's branch of the family a lot - we couldn't really not make it. They seemed touched that we all came down and despite knowing very few people at the event, we were well looked after and things went well bar grump weans. Still, very glad to be home now.@Suffolk_lass - duly noted - hopefully a decent fitted mouth guard will be comfortable enough to become part of my bedtime routine.8

I wear a night time mouth guard due to teeth grinding, I don't really notice it's presence, but I now notice it's absence if I get in bed with out it - the worst part needing to get out of bed to fetch it.
On the day I first got it I wore it for a couple of hours during the day so I wouldn't be distracted by it going to bed.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
